Absolutely amazing drum. Just got into hand drums and I made the best choice ever in buying this djembe. Very nice craftsmanship, love every bit of it. Sounds very nice too. You can hit the middle for deeper tones or the rim for a high pitched sound that sounds like a steel drum. Super fun to play. Would highly recommend this djembe to anyone wanting to get into hand drums.

I have been collecting Djembes for 15 years, from all over this globe. This was a Bday present to myself and WOW did it not disappoint. I would support this company even if the drums were subpar, but these beautiful creations belt the most heavenly tones and are of amazing quality. Right out of the box no tuning needed, perfection packing and blazing fast delivery. Aloha to all the folks at AHP for the work they do and this amaizing birthday gift!!

thr drum i received had a 2 inch rip and several small holes in the skin cover that had been glued. This is all I am allowed to say in this review.

Everybody in our family enjoys pounding out their own rhythm on this drum, especially the kids. It has a wonderful, almost addictive tone quality. What's even better is that buying it supports drum carvers in Liberia. I had never heard of the Africa Heartwood Project but it sure looks and sounds like a wonderful organization. I urge everybody to check out their website and learn about all they're accomplishing, despite the challenges presented by years of civil war and now Ebola.

This is a well made legitimate djembe with great sound. It’s perfect for my 6-year old, but also being utilized by my adult friends! See photo for size reference with a 6-year old child. Also happy to support the Africa Heartwood Project & the work they do in Africa.

Beautiful drum. Everything was exactly as advertised. Fantastic sound and carvings. Well worth every dime. It also came within the promised delivery window.Only drawback was the tracking. For days, it would only tell me that it had left Oregon. It's the only thing that prevented a 5 star rating.
