Great value, good looking quality steaming hot water, hot and cold mixer tap. [Updated]
Update:I have now had this tap for over 2 years and we are really happy with it. It is possible to hear it heating from time to time, but it isn't anywhere as loud as a kettle as it is well insulated and tucked in a cupboard. From a cost perspective, I have recently been monitoring it's energy consumption, and have calculated the following (all the calculations were done during the day in the summer, with the heater under the sink as shown in the photos, and the kitchen was around 20 c and a target temperature at max)Without drawing any water, in order to maintain the tank at the target temperature, the tank consumed 0.85KW/h per day.To reheat the tank after drawing 250ml of hot water consumed 0.025KW/hI use Outfox the Market, who for the midlands on their Zapp tarrif curently charge £0.0903 per KW/h, therefore:Cost to keep the water hot per day: 7.79p per dayCost for a hot cup of water: 0.22pOriginal Review:I have really wanted to discard the kettle and replace it with an instant hot water tap for some time, and after spending a considerable amount of time looking at the different options, this appealed to me as the best balance between price, functionality, looks and quality. It's a relatively easy fit for a keen DIY'er, the biggest challenge being routing the pipework to the tap from the tank, filter and incoming hot and cold water - it's a total of 6 pipes. You will need a reasonable amount of space in the cupboard below the tap to mount the tank and the filter. Be aware the hole required to mount the tap and the base footprint of the tap itself may be larger than a regular tap, so make sure you have space behind the sink to mount it securely without fouling any splash back or wall behind the sink.Operating the tap is easy, the right hand controls are a regular hot cold mixer type control, with the left hand control being the steaming hot water. It is possible to have both turned on simultaneously, but it requires some dexterity and i haven't found a need to do so.The tank on the hot water is large enough for a large pan of pasta, pot of tea or countless cups of coffee - I haven't found an issue with not enough water being available and it reheats quickly. In terms of my experiences with it, I have the following observations:1. The tap is I have chosen is 'Polished Chrome', as expected it is a magnet for water marks - but is easily cleaned.2. The tank has a thermostat, I have it set to Max to get the water a nearly boiling point (~97) which is hot enough for a good pot of tea or cup of coffee3. The flow rate of the steaming hot water isn't fast, but quick enough to make a cup of coffee quickly enough. When filling a tea pot or saucepan, it can take some time.4. The tank can be heard heating the water from time to time, it sounds a little like a kettle boiling but not as loud as it is well insulated and within the cupboard.5. Only the steaming hot water is filtered, the regular hot and cold isn't filtered.6. The steaming hot water tap has a safety feature which required it to be pushed down and turned simultaneously, you will need to explain this to new users as it isn't obvious.7. Whilst the steam hot water tap cannot be left on (it is sprung to close when released), it doesn't always spring back closed fully and you may find it dribbles when the tank is refilling if you don't close it properly.8. The tank gets warm in the cupboard, but no where near hot enough to cause concern or injury.

Came quickly and all good. Installed yesterday
Came quickly and all good.Installed yesterday.Working nicely today.I hope they make one in the future that is a 4 in 1 (IE. filters cold water too)Only wonder to me is why the fitting instructions also go through installing a replacement tank!Hopefully it will last many years before that is required ;-)

Fitting under existing installed kitchen can be tricky but worth it.
What a magical piece of equipment will never be without this tap again ! It did take me a good half day to install as my electrics were not in right place and then putting in T valve for supply Would help if Insinkerator put a few right angle joins on the pipework so you dont buckle the pipework under a crampt sink unit.It pours instant hot water instantly, no cold bit 1st just very hot water, very good and being used alot in its 1st week.If you think you need one then you definatly do, get it and i dont think you would regret it.Very stylish easy to operate and safe to use.

Needed replacement
Installed in September but by Novemeber the safety feature for the heated water tap had failed. (The tap is supposed to spring closed on release to prevent scolding by the nearly boiling water but it stayed open). However, a call to the service centre and they have promised to order another and replace under guarantee so fingers crossed. Update, 6/12/12 - new tap fitted free of charge and working fine so far.
