Q: How much water should I add to 1 Tp of beads?

Start with 1 cup of water and add the teaspoon of beads in a large bowl. After 6-12 hours see if the beads have absorbed all the water if so, you can then proceed in adding more water accordingly. If at any time after the beads have swelled to their maximum size, you can always pour the water/bead mixture into a strainer to get rid of the excess water.

These beads will work with any humidifier that utilizes humidification crystal beads

Q: These were working for a while but now the humidity is 80-85% consistently. I have only used distilled water. Does this need propylene glycol solution

Reduce the amount of crystals you are using until the humidity comes down to the desired range. You can start with taking out half and see how things look in a few days. Strip more or add back accordingly. You can try PG solution but even too much of that could cause RH levels to spike.
