Book in great condition as described and arrived very quickly.

My orientador recommended me this book. It hasn't answered all my questions, but it has been helpful in getting me on the right track in medical research. The author uses lots of real examples and his writing flows nicely. I recommend it to any who seek to pursue a career in research or medicine.

If you want to know the underpinnings of medical statistics, if you are not satisfied with merely memorising statistical formulas, then, this book is for you. In short, it teaches you the stuff and the logic behind the stuff.

If a book is going to teach you the stats you need to do research then maybe you've missed the point of finding out what the people who are reviewing your stuff want. Doesn't matter what is right. Just matters if they agree. Skip this part, learn from someone else, and move on with life.

Great book in great shape

Excellent very easy read with rational explantions. When through 50 pages in a few hours while studying for a masters in epidemiology

I'm not so sure about this book - it looks dated and there's plenty of good competitors out there. Doesn't do the basics, just some applications - I'd look elsewhere.
