Dog loves this toy
I order these from time to time for my dog she loves the design of the rope and the ball itself. I feel the toy is a great quality for something that is kept in the backyard the majority of the time. The dog seems to like the color and it's functional for what she seems to enjoy. Once she wears the rope through enough I cut that portion off and she loves to chase around the ball itself. They are definitely not indestructible but they hold up to quite a bit of punishment before it's time to replace so it's a great value.

Great toy!
We have a 50lb Shar-Pei mix and a 65lb Catahoula mix, both are in love with this ball! I got the 8" and was bigger than I thought it would be, which is perfectly fine (it's about the size of a soccer ball) and because of the size I know the ball will last for a very long time, as they won't be able to fit it in their mouths to chew it up.The only problem I have is the rope. They were given the ball yesterday right after it was delivered and after an hour or so of play our Shar-Pei (who is a master chewer) was starting to cut through the rope. Because of his chewing, most toys (including this one) are outside only (he not only chews up the toys, but will also eat them if given the chance) I thought the rope would hold up longer being that it is limited play outside, but alas, the rope will be sawed through by the end of the week I'm sure. I knotted the rope against the ball to try and make it last a bit longer, (they won't want anything to do with it if they can't pick it up) As the toy isn't cheep, and they love it so much, I'm hoping I can find the rope they use for dog toys so I can just replace it.Over all it's a big hit! However because of the rope issue we are going to get the jolly ball with the handle next time and see how they like that one..............................................................................................................................UPDATE - 2 Months After Purchase:OK so we have had the Jolly for about 2 months now and I thought I'd do an update. The rope has actually held up FAR better than I had expected it to. I have not had to replace the rope, and it is still mostly intact. Two months of tug has it very beat up tho. The ball itself still looks almost new. We were so extremely pleased with this toy we just got a second one. I knotted the rope one the new one like it did with the first, so that there is a knot tight against each side of the ball) as I think that really is helping to extend the life of the rope some. One word of advise tho (we learned the hard way) if you live down south like we do, and have fire ants...DO NOT leave this toy in the yard over night!!! Luckily, I had spotted it before the dogs went to play that morning, in one night a bunch of fire ants had nested inside the ball. It took about 3 days of submerging the ball in water to flush them all out (I think they were gone after 2 days but I wanted to be positive every last one was out before they played with it again).

FUN FOR LARGE DOGS!
My pupper absolutely loves this tug toy! The only real issue is that if you stop playing with her, she uses it to pummel you until you start again! The ball is very sturdy and her Mal teeth have yet to make a hole in it or the rope. It is significant in weight, so I wouldn't use for smaller dogs or cats. The ball isn't really a buncy ball, but that doesn't stop her from trying to bounce it off the wall or my knee! Fun for everyone and stands up to larger breeds.

Reinforce tied ends so they don’t slip through.
These are great for my dogs, however, I have noticed the ropes are not as thick and not tied so the rope doesn’t slip through. Make the rope tie thicker.

Perfect size for large dogs
WE LOVE IT. Nova is 80lbs and the large is perfect she’s super active with it and the rope is sturdy. We did have to tie one end again because it began to unravel but it was no biggie

Great toy
I have working line Aussies and Border Collies and this ball is exactly what they love. We now have 3 and the oldest is 2 years old and going strong. Would definitely recommend.

Old Jolly Ball next to the new light blue one
The Jolly Ball was made of a flimsy material. Although it was a beautiful color and my dog liked it, the ball was filled with teeth bites and a hole was in it within 2 weeks. I have had Jolly Balls in the past that lasted for 2-3 years! This seems to be a material that doesn't hold up to a large dogs rough play. So sad because it was beautiful.

Great toy for destructive dogs
Toy quality:We have a German Shepherd that destroys just about every ball we can find. This one will hold up for months.
