I bought these for a toybox I was building and wanted to upholster the back of the seat. These held up wonderfully as I hammered them. It didn’t scratch or dent the surface and it looks absolutely beautiful. It was my first time using anything like this very easy to use and there are a ton in this package. I did read somebody’s tip about using needle nose pliers, to hold it in place while you hammered in and that worked wonderfully.

I used these nails in my first upholstery project. They look great on a chair covered with a copper penny colored leather. Nailing them straight down takes practice. Many bent or slipped off center at the last strike due to bending at the head-nail joint under the cap. Use needle nose pliers to set them as deep as possible, then one final strike on dead-center to drive them home. I found the Dritz Nail Spacer guide helpful in setting the proper spacing, but if you hammer in the full set of nails, twisting the guide out causes the nails to bend beyond repair.

Perfect color, but tacks will rust when they come in contact with skin. Need to be coated to prevent rust.
