Akozon Protection Board 35A 36V 10S BMS PCB Protection Board with Balance and Heat Dink for 18650 Li-ion Battery Cell

Despite the negative reviews about the inaccurate schematic, I bought this board since I liked the features and price. I had never worked on Li-ion batteries before but knew that one must be careful. I marked all of the wires and soldered them into place on the battery pack and board. The schematic posted might be confusing but the board is marked properly. The only issue I had is that the batteries were very low due to non-use for a while and the charger kept tripping since it could only supply 2a but the board allowed 8a as input for charging. Basically, the charger saw the board as a short circuit. My solution was to add a bit of temporary resistance to the charging input circuit. Once the voltage of the battery got above 22v, the charger was ok. I carefully soldered everything and the battery (and eBike) works like new. We'll see how long it lasts, but so far, so good.

I am assembling battery packs (LiPO SPIM08HP) to replace the constantly failing Ryobi batteries (since 2016, 2 of the 4 40 Volt battery's have failed, even when I recovered them, they only lasted about one additional year). I purchased this BMS unit for the first battery pack. (I built a second pack with a different BMS, MISTAKE! I'm returning the second BMS-NOT this one) Now that I have used/discharged - recharged the pack 3 times, I found that the static, no load battery pack output voltage correctly reached 42.0 volts. I put a volt meter and current meter in-line to observe the charging process. Each time, when the charging voltage reached 42.1/.2 Volts, the BMS correctly stopped the charging! (Unlike the OTHER BMS) I have returned the other BMS and will be buying THIS BMS again! Note: the heat sink barely gets warm when charging or discharging. Well made/designed BMS.

By now, I've put around 500 hours of charge/discharge time on this BMS. No problems yet. Do some research before you try to install it. The wiring diagram that is posted with this listing isn't exactly accurate.

I strongly suggest staying organized and following the instructions. Put everything together BEFORE you solder. Label each wire and corresponding soldering point. I used a sharpe and marked the end battery with a number matching the wire. You want to tuck/wrap/secure all wires before you solder. Cover all the battery contacts to avoid shorts and a dangerous situation. Basically, stay organized and stick to the soldering sequence they have in the instructions and you have a good battery....also, make sure to correctly connect the negative in and negative out!!

I ordered to repair a e-bike battery will not balance charge so it is worthless to me The part number on my board crosses over to a control board for. 52 volt e-bike battery Ad is for 36 volt battery

I’m giving this product to stars because the schematics are awful and whenever I tried to follow them the BMS blew out and I couldn’t even use it even after I made the corrections once I found a schematic that work because the Polarity was backwards and blew out the circuit board. Perhaps if the schematic was actually correct and didn’t cause a reverse polarity and blow up the circui perhaps if the schematic was actually correct and didn’t cause a reverse polarity I would imagine this would be a very good little BMS I will be getting in contact with Amazon and asking for a refund as I don’t believe this should’ve ever happened

Installed this to my Ebike. So far so good after 1 week. Wil buy again.

My bms on my ecotric bike battery went bad. I replaced it with on the bms the wires and connector didn't have to be changed. 10 minute fix. Works great.

Did not get around to installing it until after the return period.Cheap but totally worthless.Wiring diagram is known to be wrong but even though I had the correct wiring it failed to charge.

WARNING, Do not purchase this product. Wiring diagram is incorrect and you will blow up the board of wired as per the drawing. In addition Amazon customer service was of zero help in resolving this issue and only suggestion was for me to contact the manufacturer on my own. After a lengthy conversation with Amazon customer service they are sending me a return lable. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME.

This product is defective. unfortunately I did not test it properly till after the return period was over.It works properly to power my device, so I was happy with its performance, but it turns out its charging functions are defective. I'll need to order a new one.
