The perfect addition to a Classic Winchester 1895
This Williams sight fits a new Winchester Model 1895 (Miroku-made) like a glove. The Winchester 95 in .30-06 is factory drilled and tapped on the left side of the receiver for this specific sight. Install is a breeze. Just remove the elevation set screw, remove the Gib screw and Gib lock, and unscrew the elevation knob to separate the top half of the sight from the base. Then remove the 2 tiny factory screws on the left side of the Winchester '95's receiver. Screw the sight base into the factory holes with the replacement Williams screws, re-attach the top half of the sight via the elevation screw, replace the Gib lock and Gib screw, and replace the elevation set screw. Easy as pie. Took me about 5 mins. I highly recommend you get yourself a quality set of thin gunsmithing screwdrivers for the job. I'm still contemplating whether or not to remove the factory rear sight, because with the elevation bar removed, you can still see right through the factory sight with this Williams sight co-witnessing the sights together. The build quality of Williams Sights is superb. I had one years ago on an old Browning BLR that was fantastic. So, as soon as I got this heirloom-quality High-Grade Winchester 1895 I knew I had to have one for it too. Adjustments are easy due the Williams factory knobs, and it functions flawlessly. Can't wait to take it to the range and sight it in. This sight also fits other Winchesters too, like the 1886 - but my experience with it is on an 1895. The price is fantastic, and you can't beat the value. Thanks, Williams Sights, you made a perfect addition for my Classic Winchester 1895!

Excellent site for a Winchester Model 71
Adjustment knob detents are nice and tight and can be used for hunting in the field, not just target shooting. Fits a Winchester Model 71 with no issues.
