I saw alot of reviews saying this product didn't work but there were many that said it did work. So, I gave it a try. I think I have found most of the issues people are having. When plugged into the vehicle's usb port there is not enough power coming through the auto's on board USB port. At least in my 2021 Silverado that was the case.. I got a usb adapter to use in the truck's 12v port (aka the cigarette lighter port...). Wala! Radar detector came on and stayed on. So, with this item, you are going to have to use the vehicles 12v port with a USB adaptor. This worked for me. Good luck!

Omg my Cobra OEM lighter connection stopped working or worked only sometimes. In stead of changing the fuse in the lighter connection I bought this! It works just fine with my Cobra.

Ordered this since the only cigarette lighter adapter I have is occupied with other devices and I had lost the original cable anyway. Got it pretty quickly and set it up and seems to be working perfectly, the Cobra will pick up passing radar plugged into the USB with the car in accessory mode, so the cable is definitely working. No problems I can see, great price, we'll see how it holds up but seems perfect so far.

This product is deceiving make sure that you read the description it is not just a power cable as the title describes. It is some sort of low power that doesn’t even run the boot sequence of the radar detector. Allegedly it only comes on if there is a radar. I’m not going to trust this thing to work at all. 15 bucks straight into the trash.

Was looking for a while to replace my messed up cord, finally came across this USB connector cord to work with my whistler radar.

Works amazing and no issues whatsoever. Works just like the standard 12V plug that they give you when you purchase a radar. It does keep the radar on but its super helpful. Its not annoying or anything. The only thing that is a con if anything is the fact that the usb part of the cord is bigger then standard usb cover if that makes sense. But overall i highly recommend if you want to be able to use a radar and dash cam at the same time.
