GasSaf Propane Tank Gas Gauge
Love these propane gauges! I recently bought a propane smoker and bought a new propane tank.Since the smoker typically runs for several hours, I wanted to monitor the gas in the propane tank. This was perfect, works great, and a perfect price point for set/2.

No More Running Out of Propane
I think this is one propane tank accessory that Hank Hill would put his seal of approval on. Easily goes on the tank and when you turn the tank on lets you know how much propane is in your tank. I was very happy to find this because just the weekend before we were at my wife's parents house and her Mom went to cook dinner and BOOM! out of gas. We had to wait another hour while they went into town to swap the tank. I bought here one and sent it to her. So now we both have one.

Good product
Works well. But has some moisture in it.

nice product
They are easier than waiting to run out of gas without being able to have a backup. Also I like that I can check how much gas I have prior to taking out the trailer on a camping trip.

Difficult installation for covered tanks
I've had these gauges for a couple of months now. I've used one to monitor one of my two tanks. I really just need to know how much is left in one because as soon as it's empty I swap tanks and make a note to refill the empty one. They do the job and the dial is easy to read and understand. I'm happy with the purchase. They are easy to install if you don't have covered tanks. I have an Airstream and there's not much room or gas hose to do an easy install. It would be easier if the cover was removed but that's even more of a pain. But that's not an issue with the gauge, just with the installation environment.I know some have complained about propane gauges not being very accurate. I just need to know ABOUT how much is in the tank. If it goes below half I know I have to refill it soon and to make sure the other is full.Propane measurements can differ depending on the weather. When it's hot propane expands and the tank will read higher. When it's cold the gas is more compressed and the tank will read low. This isn't going to be as accurate as your car's fuel gauge, which has a floating indicator in liquid fuel. This is measurement of liquid gas that become a gas when pressure in the tank drops. The gauge reads that pressure and the lower the pressure the lower the gauge will read.

Perfect for RV life
Very inexpensive tank gauge. I have duel 10gal tanks in the motorcoach and they're heavy. This allows me to verify tank status of propane.

This will not help if you're worried about attendant overfilling.
Yes, very easy to install! My sister is LIVING in her RV on my property...Unfortunately, this is not a real gauge. There are no marks that show fill lines, or even just the 80% mark which is what I really wanted. The gas station attendant overfilled both tanks that we took in. They should never be filled to more than 80% capacity. Well, we brought them back home and we connected one to the RV and was very concerned at the smell of fuel inside and out!!! After an hour or so it seemed ok so we went back in.Then when it warmed up a little from 30 to 40-something (thank goodness), the tank in my garage expanded and broke through the relief valve. We could hear it releasing fuel. We brought it outside and made some calls. We were advised to attach fill indicators on all 4 of our tanks.I thought this would be something more than just a sticker under a plastic cover attached to a nozzle. The description says it's a "level indicator" but looking at it, I don't get a lot of confidence that this thing really knows how full or empty my tank is. If you just want an approximation, or want to make sure that the guy at the gas station doesn't overfill it like whahappened to us), hen it's "fine". We just still have to really watch the young dummy at the gas station.A week later...I just realized that it's not "fine" for my purpose afterall! I just saw this is now upgraded to show reading estimates depending on weather. I also just read that this only works if you have it turned ON!!Well, it has to be turned OFF whole they refill it! So this won't work at all if you are only worried about overfilling. It only works if you want to be aware of it running low, which is something I'll know when the RV heater starts blowin cold! We have 4 tanks total. So 3 spare. I don't care one bit about it gauging it for running low.Waste of money for my purpose :(. This whole experience was a one star purchase, but I gave it 3 stars because it does kind of do what they say it does o guess. But for the ONE function it kind of does, it should be priced lower.
