A great and insightful book
When I was having one of the worst times of my life, I somehow ended up reading this book, and it really helped me coping with the situation. Since then, whenever a friend or relative tells me they are going through a rough time, I always buy them a copy of this book. Ajahn Brahm manages to infuse his stories with a good dose of teaching, a large amount of kindness, and a nice pinch of humor, making them little gems that never fail to cheer me up and remind me of what's important in life and what's not.

What can I say
Ajahn Brahm is so hilarious and wise. He saved his biggest joke for the end, but it’s kind of like a smack in the face! Lol it’s a joy to read and I even cried. It was lovely.

Must read!
Excellent! Superb! Wonderful! There are not enough positive adjectives to describe this book, I LOVED it. Brahm writes with such ease, the stories are easy to understand with terrific life lessons that I have already started applying to my life. Initially when I bought the book, I though I would read it and pass along, but it is so good, I'm planning on keeping it in my permanent collection and giving other copies as gifts (it was that good).Brahm, an abbot, became a Buddhist monk early in life, after growing up in England and getting a physic's degree from Cambridge. The way he writes, I suspect is the way he speaks and it is such a kind and comfortable tone; making you want to have him as a friend or someone you could pour your heart out too.The stories/lessons that particularly touched me were about laughing when you get angry or upset, anticipation makes fear/pain, creating happiness through laughter and taking oneself so seriously, and stop wasting our lives worrying about things, problems that have no solution? The book is super easy to read, I recommend everyone read it at least once!

Reflective Thinking
Good for starting thoughts on quality, not meant to be read and regurgitated as read. This is a book that is meant to be processed. Not easy reading as it would first indicate. Subsequent readings reveal different meanings. Still worth the time, plenty of experience contained in these pages. Have fun

Nicely printed, easily readable, full of wisdom
I have grown wary of paperback books because many are printed on cheap paper, apparently by a worn out old printing press. It makes them a strain on the eyes. This delightful book by Ajahn Brahm contains enlightening stories from his lectures. Some are repeats of ones in other books, but they are all worth reading over and over until it sinks in. Its nice to have for that bedtime read to settle the nerves and close the eyes with peaceful thoughts.

My favourite Zen book of all time.
I will not reveal why the title is called as such - it is a great book with many seeds of wisdom and I can highly recommend it to anyone.

In need of a little life guidance? This is the book for you...
A series of short, true stories, containing wisdom and humour. A go to reference book to aide with life's adventures. I've read stories out to strangers on trains and they wanted to hear more, just because we turn into adults, it doesn't mean we can't hear a good story every now and then. A fantastic author, who tells it as it is. A brilliant book, Buddhist wisdom at it's best.

Comforting and amusing
No better place to search for wisdom than the Buddhists. I didn't expect this to be so funny in parts. Recommend.

A "must buy" for everyone
I love this book. Each and every story helps the reader have a better insight into problems and relationships, or just what makes us tick. This book is a beautiful companion to take anywhere and just pick up and read. The author presents stories with humour and illustrations from his own personal life. The buddhist teachings included in the stories are many and varied.
