Black & Gray (Two Tone) Refrigerator Lock with Padlock

I purchased this because I share the place where I live with several other people and they would grab drinks from the mini fridge in my room while im gone or sleeping and then when I need to buy drinks agian to replenish the fridge nobody wants to fork over money to buy more drinks. I was looking for some kind of lock that I could put on the mini fridge but wasnt really looking forward to drilling inside the fridge and possibly breaking it so this was a great option for me. I purchased it as soon as I found it, it even came in two tone colors to match my mini fridge. Soon after I purchased it I had a little bit of a buyers remorse thinking wow did I just really spend $28 on a cheap lock and some plates with double sided tape on them? but after I received it I was pretty satisfied with my purchased.The package comes with two alcohol wiping pads clean the surface where the plates will be glued, a small Master brand lock, and the two plates. Installation was very simple just clean the surface where its going to be glued and then stick it on. The package came with a UPC code if anyone finds it useful to compare prices it was: 689076090551, the product is from a company called MarineLock (all in one word) and you can visit their site at their dot com address.Pros------------- Easy to install- Does not damage the fridge where its installed- Comes with a known brand lock (Master).- Comes in colors that match the mini fridge I have.- Seems pretty sturdy so far.Cons------------- Seemed a little bit expensive for some plates, double sided tape, and a small Master lock when I first ordered it (before I actually received it and saw how strong it was).Conclusion------------It may seem a little bit expensive but this is a sturdy, high quality product that will get the job done without drilling into the fridge and possibly messing something up inside. I would highly recommend this product.

I saw in other reviews that the little pad that was sent actually removes the finish of the refrigerator. While that is true, you are covering the marred finish up with an adhesive pad that is designed to NEVER come off. If you think about it, the removal of the finish is necessary so that the pad can securely attach to the refrigerator.You have to be careful attaching the pad, because once that thing is on, it is NOT coming off. I started with just attaching a corner of the pad to the fridge, making sure that I had it in the proper position before bringing the rest of the pad in contact with the fridge.The lock is reasonably priced and does what it's supposed to - protect my beer! Great product !

I bought these twice now (two separate mini fridges) because I had a problem with my beer going missing. This wasn't any old beer like Miller Lite or bud either, I had probably $100 in craft beer go missing while I was away at college and this was at home. So, I decided to give these locks a try. They are AMAZING. Super strong tape backing on these keep them very secure to your fridge. I could yank on them all day and they wouldn't budge. The set also came with a small padlock with two keys, it was masterlock so it wasn't a cheap one. Over all, I would keep buying these for fridges or anything else you would like to lock shut. WOULD BUY AGAIN.

I live in a dormitory and not everyone here has a fridge. I have a fridge and I like to store plenty of cold soft drinks in there. In the past I had to fend off my refrigerator with a lead pipe and a sock with a soap bar in it. Those days are long gone. Now I can have some peace of mind when I leave my room because I know that unless my attackers are equipped with chainsaws, thermonuclear devices, or the power of satan himself, my drinks will be safe. My only grievance is that the lock included can be picked by a three year old with a paperclick. If you want the level of safety and security I descried, get yourself a decent lock but not too big because then it won't fit in these pieces.

I finally decided to take the plunge and by this to keep some people out of my mini fridge. I have a mini fridge pretty much the same color as what is in the photo, which is why I bought this item. Upon receiving this item, I read the instructions to see if there was anything I might miss if I just skipped them. This item comes with the following: 1 Black Colored Anchor Clip. 1 Silver Colored Anchor Clip, 1 Master Lock, 2 Alcohol Wipes, and 1 Scrubby Pad.The instructions read: "2. Clean and prepare the chosen pad locations with the included kit. Use the scrubby pad to clean the attachment location, wipe area clean with the alcohol swab. Let dry completely"Easy enough. And having done this a million times with other adhesive products, I didn't think would be any issues. Boy was I wrong! The "scrubby pad" doesn't just clean the attachment area, IT SCRATCHES THE CRAP OUT OF IT!!!I looked back through the instructions. NOPE! NO WARNING ABOUT SCRATCHING SURFACES!!! I thought "well, maybe there us just soap residue in the pad, and maybe it needs to be cleaned better". Nope! It's scratched!If there was a warning that said something like, " be sure to only use the scrubby pad to clean an area NO BIGGER than the size one of the Anchor Clips will cover", I would have been MUCH more careful with the included scrubby pad! But, no such warning exists! And, since I was just scrubbing the general area I was going to attach the Silver Colored Anchor Clip to my Stainless looking (I say looking because I don't know how it could actually be now that it's scratched to crap by what appeared to be a simple cleaning pad) mini fridge door, now I have scratch marks all around where the Anchor Clip is secured. :(Like I said, I tried cleaning the area with my alcohol spay bottle and some paper towels in the hope that it was just some sort of residue, but it isn't. The best I could do is use the scrubby pad even more around the Anchor Clip to try to make it look...umm...better? But, instead it just looks like I was being dumb, using the incorrect tools for the job. Too bad, they were the tools that were INCLUDED to do the job!Even though no one will really see it other than (the people who aren't supposed to be trying to get what's inside) me, it's just going to infuriate me off every time I go to get a drink!I'm not really sure how well this product actually works yet, seeming I just received it today, and also because the instructions say not to use the lock with it for 48 hours after attaching the Anchor Clips because "full adhesive strength is not achieved for 48 hrs".So, IF you are going to buy this item, this is what I recommend:1. ONLY use the "scrubby pad" to prep an area which is SMALLER than the actual surface of the Anchor Clip.2. Use your OWN alcohol and paper towels to clean the attachment location. The wipes they include are not enough to clean this area adequately enough.Hopefully this review helps someone save face...the face of their mini fridge that is. ;)
