Great Helmet for all your Medieval needs!
This is an incredible value for the money! It is well made and sturdy. The visor is both movable and re-movable.Yes...it comes coated in oil...because it is shipped from overseas! Wipe it off! Yes.. some of the edges a bit rough...five minutes with some low grit sand paper and you are all set...There is a helmet liner built in for great support...Seriously...if this is a helmet design that you like to finish your armor rig...then this is the way to go!

Pretty impressive for $48!!
The media could not be loaded. Came extremely well packaged! I pretty much knew what to expect based on other reviews I watched and read, I was prepared with a cloth to wipe off the excess oil, there were a few sharp edges, but I tackled those with a file easy enough, appears to be pretty sturdy, I have a 22” head circumference, so I’ll need to add a arming cap and a chain maille coiff to help fill in the extra space, visor flips up and down just great

Good quality
This helmet is just what was needed to complete my Knight costume. it was well packaged and arrived in a timely manner. The only concern was sharp edges. I took a file, and sheet metal deburring tool and removed a few sharp edges so the user would not nick or cut his hand. Deburring the edges was quick and easy, but something consumers should know about.

:3 Exactly what i wanted (DEUS VULT!!)
It arrived earlier by a few days, so that's good. It comes covered in oil to protect the metal, which shows they care about your helmet, and that's also good. Be careful taking it out of the package, it's edges are undone and sharp, but this leaves opportunity to work on it yourself, grind/sand/rub/soften, to make it feel more like yours. Under the visor there's a pointy beak that pokes ya nose, so what i did was glue some leather padding on there to make it more comfortable. The visor is held on by nails in some rivets, which tend to come loose, so you can heat up the one edge and pound it into a nailhead like the other end; and what i did was glue the nails a bit so i can take the visor off in the future, but the nails ( i really should just call em pegs) wont fall out. Very nice look to me overall, and if it's a little too big for your head, just wear a thick and comfortable hat under your helm. This goes with my crusading costume, which is not really a costume, and more just a real suit of armor. Got a sword too, a zweihander, to go with it. (Also bought a mock foam version so i can bring it to events and school and whack my friends). Best deal for this hemet here. There are other companies that have the same helmet that are sold for twice as much. Yes the visor flips up. Yes it's actual steel, but thinner than what would make it perfect. 4 stars is deserving of this helm. Very happy. NOW IT"S TIME FOR A CRUSADE

WOW! Really well made and an amazing value!!!!!
WOW! I am so pleasantly surprised, this thing is amazing and it arrived 3 days early! Really well made, now the welds aren’t perfect but tha shape and proportions are great and it’s a crazy good product for the cost, (comps are 4x as much) It is really a great value. Now this thing is fully functional but it’s meant to be decorative, a costume piece or larp etc. this is not ment to be a helmet to keep you safe in any way! That being said; it is very comfortable even with my hair up in a bun but if you plan on wearing it for an extended period of time I would suggest some added moisture wicking padding. But again WOW, really awesome find! Thanks!

Beautiful helmet. Sharp edges and some metal work required.
First off the helmet looks beautiful. It does come in with a thin film of preserving oil. You will have to spend some time in cleaning this. The inside is painted with a black paint which does smell a little. However, take caution when putting on the helmet as some of the rivets are sharp. I took a small file to round some of the sharp edges. There were several areas where the edges felt quite sharp so I had to take a file and in some instances use a hand grinder to soften some of the other edges one of the rivets was a little loose and I noticed that the washer on the back of it that supported it was not there luckily I had the right size washer that I could gently tap into place. The hinges on either side are a little wobbly so be careful about opening and closing the mask face over and over again as most likely this will break. If you have pronounced facial features, like I do, your nose could be rubbed raw from wearing it too long. My solution was to place a square felt pad where my nose touched the metal. You can wear this for Halloween or other type of special events. All in all I like it very much and it is on my office shelf as a display item.Very cool, hence, my five star rating.

Amazing!
Absolutely great! I love this helmet so much, arrived way earlier than expected and was in great condition. Had a lot of oil on it but that's to be expected with all armor that is shipped to avoid rusting during transit. Fits good but definitely need an Arming Cap and/or chainmail coif to have it sit snug on the head but also to be expected, considering that's how it was worn in the older days. Absolutely wonderful and I am very pleased with this product, 10/10 would buy again.

Sharp Rust Bucket made in India
When I saw that this was shipping out of India I already knew that this wasn’t going to be good lol. After waiting weeks for this thing and finally opening it, it was exactly what I had expected. This helmet looked like it was cut, hammered, and assembled by an 8 yo in a sweat factory. Very sharp edges, visible rust already, very cheap sheet metal, horrible craftsmanship, and covered in enough oil for a small engine.I had to completely clean and sanitize it just out of pure concern for my well being. The helmet feels really uncomfortable when you wear it, especially on the nose bridge. It also feels like it may cut your skin, because of the sharp edges. The visor doesn’t stay up either. What a disappointment to say the least.
