What an amazing product!
I am absolutely obsessed with mauve cheeks and lips so I knew I would love this shade. I wish my picture accurately portrayed it as it looks more mauvey pink in real life. I have been a fan of Catrice long before I fell in love with their pink corrector, and long before it went viral. I love affordable drugstore makeup and I think Catrice has more hits than misses and so I am always excited when they have new releases. Since a popular K-beauty brand made matte pudding cheek products, there have been many brands attempting to dupe them, and I have to say this is the closest to the original in texture and feel that I have encountered. It has a lovely whipped consistency that leaves a beautiful matte finish on the skin and best of all, it blurs. I have to admit, I buy them to use on my lips rather than my cheeks. I think this type of blush works for traditional K-beauty looks because they don't use a lot of blush and their makeup is more subtle. This doesn't work for me as I have blush blindness and I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of this blush on my cheeks. I find using fingers looks best but when I put more than one layer, it gets patchy. It might just be the way I blend it. But honestly, one layer looks great and I do love the color, I am just used to wearing more blush. And the blurring factor is great for texture. Though it isn't my favorite on my cheeks, I simply love this type of finish on my lips. I love using a dark liner and then gliding this on my lips with a round silicone lip applicator (there are a million here on Amazon for sale). This gives a smoothe fingertip type of finish without getting your fingers dirty, and they are helpful with initially putting product on the cheeks before you blend it out. I just love how the lines on my lips disappear. I have seen reviews complaining about the width of these types of containers and not being able to fit their favorite blush brushes and sponges. A silicone applicator solves this problem easily. This type of consistency has made me fall in love with matte lips again for the first time in years. I am happy these drugstore brands have made similar products, as the original is regularly twenty dollars. I have to admit, I just might buy all four colors and I wish Catrice would expand all of their lines. I definitely recommend trying one out. It just might change everything you thought you knew about cheek and lip products.

Velvet Cream blush in Gorgeous Modern Shades
I received my frosted glass jar of the Catrice Velvet Pudding Blurring blush in the color Strawberry Mochi and I just love this product. I purchased this color shade because in the Winter months I prefer to wear a cooler shade. I like this product so much that I already purchased another color shade for the Spring and Summer months in the color Peach Pudding, which is a warm shade and provides a natural flush of color to my cheeks. For reference, I have fair skin, blonde hair and green eyes. Catrice is a newer brand for me and so far, I’ve tried out a few of their other products and I’m so impressed by the quality of all of them. The packaging and price is excellent as well. It’s like a high end blush but at a drugstore price which is so reasonable at $7 at the time of purchase. These three things make using the Catrice products a great value for me as I first look for quality, then packaging and then price. They hit the mark on all three for me. This is a blurring blush and with that, it's also buildable. If you want a lighter more natural and sheer look, you just have to dab your finger to the surface of the product and that provides enough to do your cheek, then simply repeat for the other side. If you want a darker more pigmented shade of the color, you can apply another layer right over it. The blending properties are excellent. This formula feels like a powder initially but then easily blends as a cream once applied to your skin. It really does feel like velvet and it blends seamlessly. I also love how they package these in frosted glass jars to protect the quality and integrity of the blush. I also appreciate that there's the perfect amount of product in the jar, because a little goes a long way with this very pigmented blush. You can even take what's left over on your fingers and swipe it along your lips for a natural pinch of color. If you like powder to cream blushes, this is a great one to add to your makeup collection. It’s simple to apply, portable for touch ups on the go and comes in a variety of shades bound to fit your needs. I highly recommend this blush.

Catrice isn't backing down on the pigment
Excuse me, Catrice? Must you go so hard on your blush? This Velvet Pudding Blurring Blush is not here to play. The amount of pigment is astounding. In my picture, this pink blush took a very light dab of product on a brush to paint on like a solid. Somebody said they wanted more pigment and Catrice told us to hold its hoops before running in. I love their lip glosses and swear by them, but I am a blush fan now too! No build up is needed, if a smaller amount than I used on my fair skin is applied it will be a nice healthy pink tone on fair skin that lasts all day. Seriously, after 12 hours my cheeks look like it was just applied. It took a few tries to figure out the best way to apply for me, but now it is one of my favorite blushes for dressing up or going casual! And the case!! Thank you for making a lid that 'locks' in place. Even though I don't need to carry it with me anywhere (see above lasts all day like a dream) I love the peace of mind that I can knock it off my vanity and the lid won't go flying off or the compact won't open and get product on the carpet. Twist open, dab, twist closed, and it stays that way even if play toss with it with your teenager. Not that that is something I would do. Or have done. Or will do again. Point is, the lid stays until you are ready to open again.
