Better than no breakfast at all
I ordered these for traveling so I could cook it in a hotel microwave if there were no gluten free options available. I have celiac, so I have to be very careful eating out.The first batch I got smelled musty before I even opened the box. I thought the smell might be from the outside box so I took them out, threw out the boxes they came in and put them in the pantry. Smelled up the pantry. I contacted Amazon and they immediately refunded my money. I ordered some more, and those still had a slight smell, but I cooked one of the banana and ate it. It tasted Ok enough for me to take on my trip, (with a slight aftertaste). In the world of gluten free, it is better than nothing to eat. Here is my take: MEASURE the water! I forgot something to measure the water with the first time and it was a disaster. STIR it well then stir some more! Use a fork and get the sides. Stir until it has a texture of a thick batter. I like to melt some butter on top after its cooked. Don't cook it to eat later. After it cools, its a sticky blob if you try to cover it and save it for later. Leaving soon for another trip so I haven't decided whether they are worth it

Minor flavor for Protein trade off
There are only so many protein shakes you can have. Sometimes you want something sweet but can chew. This works. Flavor wise its meh. has a slightly weird sweet after taste (still better than stevia aftertaste in my opinion) Not the best but not the worst thing Ive ever had, especially for something Vegan and Glutenfree (and with ingredients you can actually read). I think blueberry is my favorite and I cant recall but one of the other 2 flavors almost tastes better uncooked. So if your a cookie dough fan you can easily give it a try by tasting whats left on your utensil after the water is mixed in (w.o the "oh no its raw" worry of regular cookie dough) and if you dont like it then just pop it into the microwave as directed....i recommend a fork to mix it and suggest not spreading it all over the sides to get it mixed since what stays on the sides will cook there and get too dry to be enjoyable (it doesnt really puff up to full container size, which makes you wonder why the extra space) but for less calories than a regular muffin and the added protein its an alright treat

Tips for the Right Texture
The first time I made this muffin, it came out a sort of unfortunate soupy texture. A couple tries later, I now get a nice muffin consistency. Here are the tricks: WATER: Measure, don't eyeball. I was eyeballing at my office, but you actually need to get the right amount of water added. I found going slightly less than the 1/4 C actually worked best. (I guess it makes sense in retrospect, baking in general requires precision. Now I keep a 1/4C measure at my desk drawer.) MIXING: Get a fork and really whip this mixture. At first I did a "gentle" stir, because usually when you bake muffins from a box mix you want to really lightly mix them to avoid cone-head muffins. But this does best with a really thorough mix -- get a fork, scrape along the edges as you stir, and whip it until its really thoroughly mixed. COOKING TIME: I found mine take 1 min (sometimes 1 min + 10 seconds) rather than 45 seconds. FLAVOR: To me the banana and blueberry have a pretty noticeable monk fruit aftertaste. You can easily mask it by adding blueberries, etc, though for easy office meals I leave it plain and just have gotten used to it. The peanut butter is my favorite -- very little noticeable monk fruit aftertaste, and a nice indulgent flavor from the chocolate chips. Will this taste like your morning muffin from Starbucks? No, but for comparison a Starbucks blueberry muffin has 55g carbs, 29g sugar, 1g fiber and 6g protein. These mug muffins have 29g carbs, 6g sugar, 5g fiber, and 12g protein... plus have a much cleaner ingredient label. So don't go in expecting exactly the texture and taste of a bakery muffin -- but for me the taste trade-off is well worth it for a highly nutritious, warm breakfast I can quickly make at the office that does a good job keeping me full for ~3 hours.

Bigger than I expected
With a sugar free vegan muffin I was skeptical but I needed a vegan smoothie alternative because I was getting tired of my breakfast. I am not vegan but I lean toward a mainly plant based diet. I think these would be perfect for a vegan but I took away one star because of cost. I think it should be a little lower, it is a 1/4 cup of batter in a container. I suggest you measure. If you are not Vegan a little butter or ghee makes them better. Love the microwave convenience. They are good tasting, not great but again low sugar and plant based so don't expect it to be like every non-vegan or sugary muffin you have eaten. Overall a good option but I am over companies charging too much for Vegans. You should not have to be rich to enjoy plant based foods.

These are way better than expected!
I found these to be pretty tasty in fact, especially with just a dab of butter on top coming out of the microwave. A nice warm muffin in the morning really hits the spot, and it has protein. I ordered several more boxes of them before I even finished eating the first one I tried. And the price is unbeatable for the nutrition value and convenience.

Taste ok, does not cook as pictured
I was excited to try this out and cooked following the instructions. I added 1/4 cold water, then microwaved for 60 seconds. When it came out of the microwave, the muffin mix looked cooked but only raised up half way inside the container. I let it sit for 2 minutes as instructed thinking maybe it will rise, but no. So taste decent, but product quantity is not as pictured (no muffin top, not even close to level of the mug) Still hungry :(

Doesn't look like the package photo but still a decent Vegan Gluten Free breakfast!
Measure the water! Otherwise, it's a disaster. I use 1/4 cup cold water (from the fridge, not tap water). After cooking, I dump it out on a plate, cut an opening in the middle and add some vegan butter. I microwave it another 30 seconds and it's actually pretty decent that way. It's really hard to find a gluten free vegan muffin, so I keep buying these!

Not bad, not great.
As long as your expectations aren't too high, these really aren't that bad. It doesn't rise all the way to the top and is overall pretty small (too many calories for how small it is in my opinion), but the taste isn't too bad. Definetly not sweet enough and a little dry but nothing a little sugar free maple syrup can't fix. Definitely recommend adding that or some peanut butter to it.
