Spalding- 54" Polycarbonate Backboard NBA Portable Basketball System/Hoop -

I purchased this item for my son who is a beginner. I used to play basketball as well. I would recommend this product to others. It is adjustable which is great for storage and also to make it easier for younger kids. The product was ok to assemble. It took a few hours and you definitely need 2 people. The instructions were easy to understand but remember to not tighten everything before you have to otherwise it is more difficult to assemble. I filled the base with sand (which was a pain) but it is extremely sturdy. I live in a really windy area and the system (in its lower position) has fared well with the first few storms. Overall, it is a sturdy product and a great value for the price.

Came as advertised, took a little to assemble but nothing real hard, and is very sturdy, stable, and easy to adjust. When they say to put it where you will use it BEFORE adding sand (that's what we used instead of water), they mean it. Was pretty heavy and had to use boards to move it to the driveway. It probably could use larger wheels for this. But very happy with it.

Although the assembly took a few hours, it was not that difficult. The instructions were actually good. Now, the finished product is slightly crooked or tilted back. Don’t know what to adjust. It’s fine for games of horse and practice shooting. Wide banking shots are impossible withe small backboard. Perfect and expected for the money spent.

It is very fun to play on and reliable .good quality. Only thing I do not like is the water base . It is the perfect size , but it is not made of the right materials in my opinion. It could have been a strong plastic like other models. Not easy to assemble .

I assembled this with help from my 8 and 12 year old in around 3 hours, taking breaks along the way. They helped with some of the backboard stuff but mostly holding things and getting tools. Use saw horses and it could almost be a 1 person job. Instructions were concise and easy to read and follow. A few more 'Notes' in the instructions about putting this in first then that would help but not needed, those steps are intuitive when you get there. Only have 100 lbs sitting on top of an empty base so the backboard bonks a bit when hit straight on. Hope that goes away a bit when i fill with water. Nice hoop.

The instructions are a little confusing - fortunately there pictures of the fittings that are actual dimensions.The backboard is very sturdy and well designed. The basket height is adjustable which is a plus if you have small kids learning how to play.The base is filled with water to provide stability. Overall we were very pleased.

This was very difficult to assemble even for me (I turn wrenches for a living). After assembly, I noticed the water reservoir was leaking. Apparently, the plastic is so soft and thin that when I moved the goal during assembly, it scraped a hole. I used flex seal tape to fix it. After assembly (with terrible instructions I might add), I noticed the goal was not stable at all. The axles for the miniature wheels would not stay in the sockets and after moving it the wheels were useless since the reservoir literally flexes in the middle. The reservoir isn’t big enough, either. The reservoir should be big enough to weigh down the immense weight of the backboard and support pole. It fell over and now the rim is bent and broken one year later. For something that costs over $300, I’d expect better quality. My Lifetime goal I had as a kid held up longer than this piece of junk and only got blown over during major wind storms. Obviously, I don’t recommend this product.

Its good. But it fell like the base could of been made of harder material instead of plastic, when filled up with water it would sway but if you fill it with sand you can't move the base around because of the weight of the base would start to pull the screws to the base. Could do better on that part at least if you going to portrayed this item to be 100% NBA product
