Kenmore 70413 27.6 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator, Stainless Steel

I did not buy this product on Amazon, but after five years of living with this thing I feel obligated to warn others. It looks nice, but it is just awful. The in-door shelves seem secure, but will randomly fall out sometimes when you close the french doors, spilling your food on the kitchen floor. The french doors never seal closed 100%...that is just how they are designed. I guess Maytag couldn't engineer french doors that actually sealed, and opted for appearance over performance. Anything you put in the back of the fridge will freeze, unless you turn the temperature up to the point that the food in front stays warm. This thing is a lose, lose, lose proposition.And all of that is AFTER the fact I have had to call out for compressor/functional repairs twice. No wonder Maytag's mascot is a repairman!But a Kenmore or a Samsung or even a GE. Anything but Maytag!

We like the design of the fridge on top and the freezer down below, we’ve had no problems with the doors, shelves or racks.At just under two years old, the fridge stopped getting cold. Went online and was able to self diagnose but we called a repair man just to be sure. Repair man confirmed that it was the fan that moves the cold air from the freezer up to the fridge to cool it off. He also informed us that he had never seen a Kenmore made by Daewoo before, A cheap Chinese company that you normally see making kegerator’s or small wine fridges or dorm fridges. I know that Sears was having financial issues, but this is pretty bad.The fridge was not the most expensive to begin with, but I would definitely not recommend this fridge to anyone.

Bought this from sears 2 years ago. Within few months started getting some sounds from the fridge for voltage fluctuations. It eventually stopped working within 2 years. Never experienced this with any of the previous refrigerators. Regret buying it!
