Quadtro Select High Profile Seating and Positioning Wheelchair Seat Cushion 18 x 20

Excellent product for seating concerns. For whatever reason, I have found most seating uncomfortable for decades, and I've searched high and low for an office chair that meets my needs. And I've tried lots of different pads/cushions in those office chairs to no avail. Placing this cushion on my office chair has made a world of difference. This cushion allows you to choose whether you want the inflation stable/firm throughout, or whether you want it to have some give to allow for a more malleable product that freshly conforms to your shape every time you sit down. I opted for the malleable. It has put an end to discomfort for me at my desk. It's air-filled with lots of air pockets rather than foam or something else that would retain a shape over time and stop being comfortable once it got too set in its ways. It's pricey, yes, but so were all those other cushions that I spent a lot more on over time. This comes with a cushion case for protection, but I also keep a lightweight pad over the top of it to protect it from wear. I expect it will last a long time with proper care.

The only problem had with it is if I bent down to lift up the footplates on my wheel chair, I was essentially sitting on only the front section. All the air in the front got squeezed to the back and I was in danger of sliding out. Actually one time I did and after that learned a lesson and now be sure I have something in front of me to push on if I am sliding out. I did try the lower profile one and the one with the foam front but quickly got sore, but this was a problem with the new wheelchair I was using which only had a flat plate for a seat. The previous ones i used had a cushion seat onto which I added the Roho

I'm using a power chair 24/7 since 2014. I used Roho Quadtro 18x20 cushion before. This is made of a thicker painful material than the one I had 5 years ago. The air doesn't flow smoothly through the four quarts. EDIT: Keep adjusting the filling of the mattress and Once you find the best amount of air needed for yourself YOU'LL LOVE IT

I bought it to relieve pressure on my husband's private parts when he sits in his power chair for long periods of time. This seems to be working. I am still adjusting to his transfers because the cushion deflates temporarily in the front as he goes from chair to bed.
