I like this pedal sounds great with Strat and LP through fender deluxe works great before and after other overdrives. This pedal is a leave on pedal for me gives a much nicer sound. Setting I like is gain at 3:00 level at 10:00 and the tone at 10:00 when switching between strat and lp I only change the tone setting. Every pedals sound is in the ear of the beholder, You might not like what I like so go to your music store and try it out and then you can scope the best deal online or from your music store of choice

Look at the other reviews. Similar Problems.Sounds great, unfortunately the footswitch arrived broken. These might be new old stock pedals that have been sitting on a shelf for a while.Buy at your own risk.

Loud and colorful!
This is a great pedal. I use it to fatten up the bottom end, as a stand alone overdrive, and boosting before and after drive pedals. All three knobs have a wide range. This is a surprisingly colorful sounding pedal!

Does what it says on the tin...
Hard to get info on this pedal so I thought I would have a stab at a review. I am currently playing through a Marshall JMP-1 combo (1w 50th anniversary model). This is a fantastic amp, however (1) the gain boost, whilst very useful, is not footswitchable; and (2) when I play the amp at levels my wife will tolerate (i.e. using the 0.1w option) the sound is a little anaemic.Hence I was looking for a booster that was NOT clean i.e. would also add a little fatness as well as gain.I chose the BB9 on a whim as I've always liked the design and robustness of the Ibanez 9 series. For me, the pedal does exactly what I had hoped - I can switch from crunchy Malcolm Young rhythm tones to creamy Angus lead tones. I am using the pedal with tone flat and level at around 2 o'clock and gain at zero, so there is plenty of extra gain to be had in this pedal. The pedal definitely does NOT have the TS9 mid hump. There does seem to be a little compression, very natural sounding and ideal for lead work.Haven't tried it in front of a clean amp (I don't have one that's even remotely clean) so can't comment on its use as an overdrive pedal.I have rated four stars as I am a guitarist so it is inevitable I will find something I believe to be better in due course.....!

Super für Strat und Tele!
Das Gejammer über Einschaltknacks und Erblindungsgefahr durch versehentliches Hineinsehen in die Betriebs-LED lasse ich mal beiseite, und bewerte mal nur den Sound. Wenn er die Vorstufe ein wenig übersteuert und dann Gain am Pedal auch ein wenig hochregelt wird, klingt es super.
