If your OEM key fob works, but your buttons are just trashed or missing, this product is a no-brainer!! It fit my 2014 Buick LaCrosse key perfectly. If you have any mechanical abilities at all it is a breeze to transfer the control board and spring loaded key from the original to the replacement shell, and it works perfectly. Hint... make sure to twist the key on the spring 1 full turn counter-clockwise before snapping the 2 halves together so that it will open fully and automatically when the release button is depressed.

As many have said, getting the OEM FOB apart is the hardest part. Board and key fit new case perfect. Great product.

Look, After reading every single review here and trying the key fob myself,... I realized one thing. The people giving this one and two star reviews can't FIX things (and lack mechanical ability). For those of us that are mechanically inclined, it was easy and almost OEM quality. Amazing for the price!.... Buttons are a little more firm than the factory. Other than that you can't tell the difference. The rubber key fob cover was a nice touch. Make sure you remove the shear PIN and you use your old key with the new hinge. Put a counterclockwise twist on the spring to add tension so it (the key) will flip (snap)out like it used toPowW....Just like new!!!

Okay, this did save us a lot of money. But it turned into an all-day project for both my husband and me. The original key fob was glued together, making it extremely hard to get apart. After we got it apart we discovered that the replacement one did not have a separate battery compartment. We had an awful time getting the battery into it. We are not going to be able to replace the battery in it without taking the whole works apart again, however this one is easy to get apart. Also, everything is exactly the opposite from the original. We were able to Interchange the key, but it does not fit correctly on the cogs in the new one and so will not pop in and out as it's supposed to. But we fixed it so it doesn't totally close and can be easily pulled out of the slot. It does work beautifully, locks and ignition Etc. Of course, you could have the key that comes with it cut. That one does pop in and out correctly and fits properly.

I normally suck at these things, but I managed to do it by myself. The hardest part was breaking apart the manufacturer key fob to get the chip out of and remembering to wind the key the right way. I have a Chevy Cruz and it fit everything perfectly
