Review: Brilliant translation - I was quite intrigued by Aristotle, and I have never read Aristotle in my life. I decided to read this book after reading another book. I forget which one, but... Aristotle's ideas were quite advanced. Society has changed since his time, and I don't agree with everything he said, but there is much that is still valid. I was especially intrigued by his sections on oligarchy and tyranny, and I am sure that I have been influenced by the situation in India today (April 2021). It's not just India, but we have seen strongmen rise in many countries. The edition I read, is excellent. The translation I have is excellent. I like the notes at the beginning of each chapter. They provide an excellent guide. Review: Have to read have to think - As I am a slow reader and this book is too much reach with high level of thoughts I have just finished the Book1 in two months. But it is a real treasure to them who love to think. Should write another review when I'll finish this.

Aristotle: A Foundational Work in Political Philosophy.
"𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝒐𝒇 𝒂 𝒕𝒚𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒆𝒓s 𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒔 𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔, 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒏𝒐 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒊𝒎 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒉𝒊𝒎.” One of the most profound works in the realm of political philosophy, even though it was penned over two millennia ago. Reading Aristotle is a humbling experience, a stark reminder that intellect exists in tiers—and that some minds, both then and now, operate on a plane far above the average modern thinker. The idea that “men of the past knew things we no longer do” has rarely been so evident. This book is a masterclass in timeless wisdom and analytical depth. This book is not for uninitiated casual readers. One should ideally begin with Aristotle’s Ethics before approaching his Politics. It is neither for beginners nor for the pitiful weaklings of modern liberal phaggotry and progressive thought, whose fragile sensibilities crumble under even a hint of inconvenient truth. Aristotle does not categorically condemn slavery, nor does he hesitate to breakdown the shortcoming of 'Democracy" and assert that it is far from the "ideal state". Also extraordinary is Aristotle’s near-total disregard for women in matters of politics and state𝐦𝐚𝐧ship. They appear only sparingly, and when mentioned, it is either to quote a poet—“𝑺𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏’𝒔 𝒈𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒚”—or to note that in extreme democracies, demagogues flatter women(and slaves) and grant them "equal rights" precisely because of their susceptibility to manipulation. This will undoubtedly infuriate the self-righteous egalitarian weaklings and the deluded champions of universal suffrage, ruthlessly exposing the emptiness of their modern dogmas. Thus, Aristotle, with unflinching realism, anticipates certain dynamics and shortcomings of the modern political world while remaining ruthlessly logical and unsentimental—a brutal challenge to the coddled illusions of modernity, and precisely what cements this work as a towering intellectual masterpiece. Cheers.

Horrible quality
The quality of the book, the cover, the pages seems as if they were made 50 years old. The texts are readable but not quite upto my expectations, the first pages have these weird stain marks on it, and the cover, well I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. (Disclaimer: My complaints have nothing to do with the contents of the book, merely the quality of the product)

This is a good edition of one of the most important books ever written

An excellent edition of Aristotle's great work, including a thorough study of the writer and his times--the Politics is quite a challenging work, and this is a fine translation of the seminal set of essays.

It seems more than presumptuous to me for me to write a review of the work of Aristotle. 2500 years after its production we continue to study it and consider the implications and application of Aristotle's thought. Have at it. It really is a growth experience.
