Using it to monitor the cabinet temperatures within a radar system. It works just fine for our application.

The unit I purchased has worked fine so far (one week). It has to be used with some care however because the internal contacts and wiring are not thermocouple materials. If the thermocouple connector is more than a few degrees different than this reader unit for any reason the temperature displayed will be incorrect and the display will drift until the connector and reader reach the same temperature. The two thermocouples that come with the unit appear to have pins that are also no thermocouple materials (alumel & chromel). This is not a big problem when used with this reader because the internal conductors in the reader appear to be plain copper as well. If used with a high quality reader, these thermocouples would probably exhibit the same drift in temperature if they were warmer or cooler than the reader itself. Also, I purchased this product even though it was a few dollars more that others on Amazon that appeared to be identical but did not have a brand name on them. The unit I received had no brand, so it is probably identical to the less expensive ones. However, this can be hard to know for inexpensive products made in China because manufactures there not only create clones of U.S. designed ones, but also of those designed in China. Buying low cost products always involves some risk.

Not accurate and CANNOT be calibrated.

This product was fine. I would like to complain about another product that you did not ask me if i liked. On August 9, I purchased 3 containers of Seventh Generation Wipes for $26.99. Instead I received 3 containers of Vega wipes from Isreal! I returned them to Thunder General, 1206 Virginia Street, Far Rockaway NY 11691 which was the address where they came from. It cost me $11.00 USPS. It was returned to me USPS! I did not like the smell of them and am very sensitive to smells. I left my husband take them to work to give his employees! This is very upsetting. Amazon shows Seventh Generation in the photo! I did not get what I paid for and am out $38.00!! Very misleading!!!
