The Varpoolfaye Swimming Pool Heat Pump was a purchase I made towards the end of summer in order to extend the season for swimmer in New Jersey. It was easy to have installed into my existing in-ground pool system. My wife and I are most pleased - it is extremely quiet and delivers heated water efficiently and I can control via an app on my phone. I can even turn it on or off while away at work. But we were most impressed by Varpoolfaye Customer Service who called me out of the blue to ask if the device was working well and to answer any questions. They gave me outstanding advice and pointers to get even warmer water output next season. They advised me on how to store it for the winter. It is a sleek, modern-looking device connected to my pool filtration system. I highly recommend to pool owners.

** Second Edit** I changed my review from one star to five. The company did reach out and offered to pay for the price of plug that I bought to fix this and even offered to pay for shipping if I wanted to return it. After using this all this summer, I would say BUY IT! I can not believe how fast this raised the temperature of our above ground pool. Our pool is under a patio cover and doesn't get any sun. Even when it is 90 outside, the pool would only get to 75 degrees without this thing. The app makes it so easy to control the heat pump. **EDIT** I bought a new GFCI plug end from Amazon and the pool heater works again. I will continue updating if I have any more problems. I still feel for the price I paid it should come with a plug that lasts and works safely and correctly for more than a month and a half. Worked great until it didn't. It does heat up the water and very quiet but only lasted about a month and a half. It is dead, won't turn on at all and singed my electrical outlet. I am going to try to replace the plug and see if I can get it working again but for this price I feel it should have came with a better plug. The reset and test buttons on the plug are soft and get stuck when trying to reset.

My wife will not get in the pool unless the temperature is greater than her body's--99 degrees. This heat pump, as nice as it is, most often falls a little short of that. First off, the build quality and the features are awesome. The heat level is perfect for me and my grandson. It was easy to install and not incredibly loud. That said, it takes a long time to heat up the pool. It kind of needs to run over night if you plan on an early morning dip. But then, running it over night works against how the heat pump functions, because the air is cooler at night it takes longer to heat--so I am told. We used to have a gas pump, and that thing would create a stew if you let it. That being said, this is a great unit, for a heat pump. The app is nice but useless unless you also have an app for your pool pump.

Great addition for my pool. Hard piped it in yesterday. Ran it all night and the pool was warm enough for the kids in the afternoon. Outside was around 75 degrees and pool water was about 88 degrees. Pulls little current (7ish amps), and is super quiet. I bought it for the cooling function as well. Can wait to test that in the heat of summer next year.

I am very upset about this Heater . It was left on the sidewalk. Extremely heavy and I was injured trying to get the box to a safe location inside the gate. My instructions are very CLEAR

If I can install it and make it work it must be easy. Unit seems to be well made. I have had it 6 months now and am looking forward for winter. I have a pool dome over the water holding in heat. Im not a fan of the app but it does work.
