My son requested a blue whale birthday cake. He picked this one for it’s realistic features. I wrapped the bottom in plastic wrap and stick it down in the cake to make it look like it was jumping out of the ocean. He was very pleased.

I wish it was bluer but I feel like the grey blue color is more true to life. This is a nice weight to it and quality and instantly became the favorite whale of my nephew who has 6-7 of the set.

Okay replica of the whale but Schleigh quality is better. Heavy.

I really like cetaceans. I was delighted to find this product line on Amazon. I am adding a new one bit by bit. The colors are realistic, and the figure is the perfect size. My only disappointment is that the whales are not scaled down to size. For instance, the blue whale, the largest animal to ever live, is the same size as the much smaller sperm whale figure. That's just a nitpicky complaint though. Overall I am very satisfied with this produce.

We purchased this blue whale for my daughter's 3rd grade diorama, and it was exactly what we were hoping for. We were even able to suspend it by hanging it from fishing line that had been wrapped around the fins. She received an excellent grade.On another note, before putting it in the project, my 2 year old had a LOT of fun playing with the big "fish" - so I guess it was a win-win.

I use these type of things as a collector's item more than a toy. It's very lightweight. The flippers could be a problem for a small child because they bend and may rip if you are too rough. I love the realistic look compared to some other toys. It fits better with my collection. Since blue whales are the largest whale, I wish it was also the largest in my collection, but this was the largest I could find and still have a natural look to it.
