Don’t be scared to use these (I was I have to admit). They come as small balloons, string, ribbon and paper straws. The nack is to ensure the balloon knot is SMALL and TIGHT but away from the end Ring part (which you blow into). That way you don’t have a clump of latex to try to pull through the straw.The strings jobs is Purely To hold the knotted part so you can Feed the string down the straw then gently pull it taught teasing the balloon end down the straw as you go if needed. You may feel it’s resisting but gentle tugging and teasing will get the balloon end in. You can always use something to push it if it helps but be careful not to pierce the balloon. pull the knot into the neck of the straw. Once it’s in that’s it. Cut the string and Tie a coloured ribbon round the neck of the straw to hold it in place. Those that have them sat lopsided or that can’t get them to go through the straw will have no doubt had a larger bulkier knot making the inflated balloon sit incorrectly or not fit through the straw. The knot is only to hold the air in and the string just wraps around the neck of it to give you something to hold onto as you tease the string through.I had a play about with it before I did mine just to be sure i could do it and I’m a complete novice and did it with ease. I was complimented by many on how effective they look and have to agree that for a few quid you can totally transform your cake or one you may choose to buy. They’re a sturdy latex and won’t easily burst so persevere and you’ll get there. Hope you find this useful.

I bought these for my sons birthday cake. (Thinking they were small plastic) I thought they would look really good... they’re small balloons that you have to tie a length of string to, push it down a straw-there’s nothing to anchor it either, and then somehow tie ribbon around the top, which is difficult anyway unless you have help, and they’re almost never straight on the sticks. The sticks are plastic straws as well, so it’s too easy to crush them trying to tie the ribbon. It’s a cheap price, but it’s an hour of my life I’ll never get back, a headache and a load of grief! Really.. don’t bother with these!

Nice for a larger than normal sized cake if wanting to use them all. I made the mistake of trying to get these on top of a cake at the last minute and it isn't something you want to rush.Couldn't manage to pull the balloon knot through the wee hole in the straw, must be a knack.In the end my son blew up all the balloons and tied them together with the ribbons and stuck candles on the cake instead. Straws went in recycling.A video of how to do would be useful.Won't be ordering again.

I bought these to add to my daughter's birthday cake and they looked amazing!! My only downside is that some of the balloons were quite hard to pull through the straw but after a few attempts it worked!! Will purchase again, arrived quickly

Absolute lovely item, would 100000% recommend. I’m no cake maker (as u can see ) but I wanted to have a go on decorating my sons birthday cake so knew I’d need some nice decorations to hide my cake skills and I was most definitely not disappointed with the outcome . Without these my sons birthday cake would of looked like either a melted snowman or a old lady’s hat Iv ordered extra to put away for my next masterpiece 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

I bought these not realising its actual balloons and straws. I thought these were more ornamental so would be much smaller and solid. You have to inflate the balloons then put string on then pull through straw then put ribbon on. Alot of nonsense to put togher.

This is such a shame they look so good but sadly the self assembly is tricky (and I’m good at this stuff) there’s not enough cord to pull all the balloons through, maybe 3 max and there is no way the knot of the balloon fits into the straws.Waist of money sadly

Bought for a 10 year olds party and it went down very well. Took quite some time to break though with the piñata stick that I bought from Amazon also, so kept them entertained for quite some time. Bought three large bags of sweets & lollies to go inside but could easily have fit more in. Great product for parties but I always think piñatas are expensive!
