BLACK+DECKER EC475W Extra-Tall Electric Can Opener with Knife Sharpener, White

We had a Black & Decker can opener very reliable for many years. That's the reason why we bought again the same brand opener. This one is much easier and practical. The head blade opener part comes completely apart which makes it easier to clean. The knife sharpener works great too!

I bought this to replace a more expensive version which my wife found very difficult to use. She finds this easier to position the can for opening.If you are thinking of buying this because of the knife sharpener feature, do not buy this for that. The knife sharpener is rather useless. It stalls at the slightest pressure.

I was nervous cause I've had bad experiences with black and decker products. I ended up getting it anyways because of its value and because I had a lot of room mates at the time so I didn't want to spend and arm and a leg on a can opener. However, it's been 1 year + and it still works like a charm. I definitely recommend this product.

I have very little storage space in my kitchen and my husband does most of the cooking (he prefers the old hand held can openers). We have not had an electric can opener in so long, because I limited space to store it when not in use. I have carpal tunnel and using the hand held was just not happening anymore. This is big enough but does not take a lot of space and easy to use, almost no assembly opened the box put the top piece on, and plugged it in to use.

Don't love this one - We purchased this can opener to replace one we have never liked. All we wanted was an old fashioned can opening. this one is great base wise but the removeable head is very lose and is very hard to line up for opening a can. It has a feel of cheap plastic that will break easily. Not very impressed with this can opener. I think Black and Decker can do better quality work.

Got this as a replacement for another B&D under the counter can opener after many years of use. It is for my mother inlaw and she seems to love it.

I have always thought Black & Decker products were well made. I was extremely disappointed upon receipt of this can opener. It was in two pieces - the main part & the handle piece. I tried to push the handle part into the hole in the front of the can opener, but I wasn't strong enough. My husband was able to "force" it in. When I use the opener, I have to make sure it is pushed in & hold it while I put it over the can, if I don't it doesn't open the cans. Worst piece of junk I have EVER ordered! Maybe something is wrong with this unit - It is not even worth returning.
