Zebra Mechanical Pencil, Del Guard, 0.7mm, Blue (P-MAB85-BL)

The media could not be loaded.  I was in the market for a good mechanical pencil for a decent price and I came across the Zebra DelGuard 0.7mm. I was excited about the lead breakage avoidance mechanism of the pencil. It works just as advertised! Now it has become very hard to break lead. Another bonus is that pencil feels good to write with!However there are some cons:1. A little bit of heft can be added to the pencil as it feels too lightweight (for me)2. A rubberized grip could’ve been provided as your fingers become sweaty with prolonged use and as a result, writing becomes a little bit harder.Otherwise, it is a wonderful pencil and you can buy it eyes closed.

It has got marvelous mechanism to dissipate the extra force which you might put by mistake on the lead tip during writing and prevent it to break. These people know what's d frustration in feeling comes when u break tip of lead while writing or drawing something important it it breaks ur flow....

Very nice pencil..lead will not break even putting pressure while writing.. worth buying it..

It is an expensive pencil. Delguard lead guard system works only with HB grade or harder lead. With softer leads like B or 2B, the lead breaks, perhaps even more than some other pencils. Harder leads break less in most pencils, anyway.If lead protection is your prime concern, consider using 0.9 mm mechanical pencils, especially those that cushion the lead, like Staedtler Mars micro 0.9 mm pencil. I have used that pencil and the lead did not snap even once in the last several years.

The product has been damaged in terms of paint on body of pencil being chipped off. Can’t say whether it was due to transit or was the way it is.

Delguard system works. But limited to hard leads. B and above grade leads break like normal mechanical pencils

After an 30+ minutes of drawing, it can start to feel sore to write with, not due to the lack of ergonomics, but just due to the lack of soft cushion. Its more like a standard wooden pencil in that regard.

Wer einen Druckbleistift sucht, bei dem nicht Miene nicht abbrechen kann ist hier genau richtig! Das Federsystem verhindert das in jeder Lebenslage.Die Qualität ist gut und der Preis ist angemessen!

Excellent, gives you a feeling that is too light.. I would prefer it a little more robust.

Simplemente me encanta porque así ya no gasto tantas puntillas. Suelo escribir apoyándome bastante en el papel y con el sistema de este lapicero me siento muy cómodo al escribir.
