Rotring 600 0.5mm Black Barrel Mechanical Pencil (1904443)

The pencil on the whole is an excellent piece of work. There is a minor defect that needs to be watched out for.. Achilles heel of this pencil. The NIB. Unprotected and if the pencil falls on this NIB there are very very high chances of the NOB getting bent or damaged rendering the pencil useless.. New 800 + with stylus is the one that has a retractable NIBOtherwise excellent, well balanced, pure metal and one extraordinary piece of design and engineering.

The grip is good, I like that it's heavy and balanced and the tip is firm. Absolutely no wobble

The only drawback of this pencil is that the sleeve at the tip is not retractable anday get damaged if it falls. The 800 is prohibitively expensive. A beautiful tool to be enjoyed as a desk pencil. If you don't drop it, it will last you a lifetime and then your kids will fight over who gets it.

simply put....THE BEST mechanical pencil money can buy......the knurled grip, the sturdy lead sleeve (now this could easily be a con too due to the pencil not being pocket safe as the lead sleeve does not retract inside......but then again this is after all a drafting pencil),the excellent weight balance, the heavy and satisfying click of the push button,the overall sleek look and the old school charm this thing has.....you never want to go back to using regular cheap mech pencils again. The only con is the non retractable lead sleeve that can seem as a vulnerability.....which isn't really seen as a con since this was not meant to be for daily use....but it is a peeve....at least for me. A must Buy.

One of the best mechanical pencils you could find in the market for this price. Though it's a little heavy since it is made of metal its comfortable to write with for long writing sessions. The knurled grip of this pencil is probably the best for my hands.
