I know they are just socks but I have had so many compliments on these cos they look proper retro 70s/80s - Have them on my pressie list to get for my mate for her birthday and I will be buying more for me. Love em!

You get what you pay for with these. I suspect they will be repurposed or chucked after a couple more washes. I have never had a hole in the toe of my socks and some pairs are over a decade old. This hole appeared after two washes so the quality is pretty poor. Stop press! Got a hole in a second pair too. The toe cap area seems to be of thinner fabric than the rest of the sock. They are a little off white (slightly yellowish), quite thin and not 100% cotton. I take a size 5UK, 38EU and they fit nicely. I like them nevertheless, probably for their looks more than anything.
