The powder promises a matte finish and covers blemishes/imperfections. I used it alone as a foundation and it gave only sheer - medium coverage. It didnt cover any of my marked/blemishes but set to a smooth matte finish. For full coverage, I used it as a setting powder on top of my foundation. Its very smooth to apply and blends in beautifully (if the right shade is chosen). Its well pigmented and runs a shade darker, so it may be better to buy one shade lighter. I normally use a medium beige in other brands but was way too dark in this one. The powder is multi-functional and gives a beautiful finish. It comes with a sponge and mirror so can be carried for touch-ups. Its paraben free which is a big plus. Those with clear skin can use it alone for a sheer natural look. I have a few blemishes on my face so I cover them up with concealer and use the powder on top, which gives me a natural look.

A fear factor remains every time I order a compact .... whether it will come unbroken or exact shade ordered .... but thanks to amazon ....got the right shade and fresh item ... product is amazing ... it suits me pretty well ....

It's LA girl So many shades I got toffee and chestnut Lovely tones Chestnut is bit too red for me But toffee was perfect for my skin tone. This is the first powder i have tried that doesn't leave grey ghost like layer on my face. I have wasted my money in loreal lakme n Maybelline as they do not have anything for darker/yellow/medium toned people, their customer base is just white/wheatish indians. Dark beauties pls don't waste your money on other brand products, even Maybelline toffee is just around NC30. So invest money on the right shade from this range, you will never have ghostly layer on your face. Also LA girl has made a nice move by opening up to indian market, (or just the sellers) I hope this competition grows where other domestic brands acknowledge making makeup for us dark skinned women

A little darker than expected. I'm an NC 43.5 in MAC and Medium Beige is a shade too dark. Soft Honey will work best on wheatish-tan skin.

I use 40 breve in sugar stick foundation. I have medium skintone with yellow undertone and soft honey seems to be an exact match.

I am orderd soft honey.delivered soft honey.my skin was dark .gpp608 no.pic ,delivered no.also gpp608.dark skin suits soft honey very good.some dark shades used, dark skin becomes very dark.I don't like that.what is the mistake, what shown in the pic colour is not correct.so don't order very dark colour compacts.ur face becomes very dark.so check that.

this color is spot on for dark skinned African Americans. it makes your complexion look smoother and flawless. which is the reason for wearing foundations for your face.
