Amazing watch!
Just received this Coros Nomad & set it up - it was so easy to do once you've downloaded the app. It looks stunning - BTW- its description as black isn't right - its a really smart dark grey - love it! Took just a couple of minutes to calibrate the compass & enable maps as these are the main things i want it for- display & operation is great -GPS is spot on. There's so much you can do with this - I'm really going to enjoy exploring its functions.

Great watch!
Brilliant watch! Maps are brilliant and I prefer the mip display over Amoled.

Great watch - very good value for money
Really good watch, shame that it can't go under water for long periods of time, but as a whole it's a brilliant watch. Battery life - excellent Screen - brilliant Value for money - I haven't charged my watch for 4 weeks and still have 28% still.

maps good.....limited functionality...but good for price
Can't use watch unless you register...and that process of verification may not be the easiest. The screen layouts and data fields can only be changed using the app on your phone...thus you need the phone and an internet connection. The data fields are limited and you can't put what you want where you want it unlike Garmins. The watch faces are pretty horrible and again limited information that you can't change..unlike Garmins. You can build your own custom faces but again very basic...can use your own photos...they look good. There's no dual-time and no dual-grid...which is naff. If you want your grid location it's not on the navigation screens...it's on the compass screen which is separate. The map is quality and the big selling point is you can zoom using the whizzy wheel which is quick and easy....swipe screen to pan...works well and is responsive. The 'action button' you can supposedly customise but again very limited options...bit of a waste of a button. There's plenty of room for more buttons...Coros should try adding some and increase the functions. With all the limitations if you need a map function then it's hard to beat for the price....Fenix 7 is much better but twice as expensive....if you don't want a map then the Instinct is a much better option and a lot cheaper. The Fenix is too much watch for everyday use, way too big, but you can wear the Coros comfortably and is fairly normal looking and it's useful to know you've got that navigation system there if you needed it. I don't use all the fitness functions etc so can't comment on them.

Excellent Battery Life, but Not Very Intuitive
The watch has several strong points. Battery life is excellent, build quality is solid, and the emphasis on physical buttons over touch controls is welcome, particularly for outdoor and swimming use. However, there are some usability issues that significantly affect the day-to-day experience. The activity menu cannot be obviously customised. Users are required to scroll through a long list of activities, many of which may never be used. This adds unnecessary friction when starting workouts and makes the interface feel cluttered. Perseverance is needed, to discern, discover and decide optimal set up. Navigation is also not intuitive. Basic tasks such as understanding menu behaviour and configuration are not self-evident, and the available documentation appears to vary by model in ways that are not clearly signposted. As a result, users may need external guidance to perform what should be simple actions; I found ChatGPT useful. For a watch positioned as a training tool, the feature set feels over-engineered relative to the ease of use. It covers running (road and trail), walking, hiking, swimming (pool and open water), and gym activities (weights and cardio), but lacks a straightforward way to tailor screens and menus to match how individuals actually train. The overall experience is reminiscent of older multi-function digital watches: capable and robust, but packed with options that many users will never need, and which require time and effort to learn. The button-centric design remains a positive, and will appeal to users who prefer tactile controls over touchscreens. That said, for those prioritising clarity, intuitive navigation, and easy customisation, alternatives such as the Garmin Forerunner 255 may offer a better balance between functionality and usability. Saying all of that I love the brand philosophy and after investing a couple of hours tinkering, Googling, ChatGPTing I have decided to keep the Nomad.

I’m an Apple watch ultra user, and that device has all I need both for sports and recreational, the trigger point for me to replace that as a sports watch is when I did a trail running for 8hrs, the Apple watch ultra died after 6hrs. So I bought Coros Nomad, since it’s cheaper and has a good reviews when it comes to battery life and other sensors. I took this watch right away on my hiking trip and it only lose the battery energy by 10%, that’s a huge improvement for me since that hike was 9hrs with all the gps and heart rate turned on. It took me another 3 weeks before I recharge this watch with daily exercise use.

Al momento rimango soddisfatto; durata della batteria ottima. L'utilizzo è prevalentemente per il trekking con mappa offline e traccia gpx precaricata prima dell'escursione senza obbligatoriamente essere collegato in Bluetooth con il telefono.

Great item, the watch last like a couple of weeks without charging it maybe even more , and also gives you a lot of information by just turning the wheel on altitude barometric even mapping a whole bunch of stuff it lasted much longer than my Apple Watch ever did without having to worry about charging it when you’re out and about or on vacation the heart rate monitor work great and easy to use and the brightness was just right, not too bright, but not too low
