Great pool toys
Arrived very quickly, the packaging was very good, nothing was broken or damaged. My 2 yr old grandson loved every toy in the collection. The fishing pools are magnetic and really work like a rod and reel. The fish have tiny magnets so they attach/“get caught” very easily. Even the adults enjoyed catching fish with him. There are a nice variety of fish, they are very colorful, with no rough or sharp edges. He played with these toys all day. At the end of the day, clean up was a breeze. None of the items had holes so that water was trapped inside, so all was simply dried off. No drip dry so nothing was left outside to get stepped on or blown away. There was one fish that got missed and wound up in the pool skimmer. It was intact and did not cause any damage. Great pool toy at a great price. Highly recommend.

Fun for a kid.
I was hesitant to buy this as honestly it looked rather cheesy and didn’t look like it would last thru one playtime. Surprisingly 3 year old grandchild who tends to be rough with toys really enjoyed playing with it 3 times on family vacation so I’d say it was worth it. Even some of the grownups played along and went fishing together!

The fishing poles pull apart easily.
The fishing poles themselves can come apart fairly easily, and I decided to use superglue on ours and glue them together permanently because there’s really no point in them being pulled apart constantly by the toddler that is using them. That being said, the fish were great quality and the bag is very good quality as well. I do recommend it as a great toy for toddlers and it definitely keeps mine busy.

Big hit
Got these for our 2 1/2 year old nephew. Think they would work for a significant range of developmental stages.I figured the fishing pole might be a little too hard for a kid his age (too much fine motor control), but he did actually use it (in water) with a little help. For kids learning or already able to swim, they could be fun to go retrieve from around the pool.He mostly enjoyed using the included nets to scoop the fishes out of the water from the steps of our pool. Everything floated well. You can easily pull them under the water, then release and they will sort of flutter up to the surface which gives a nice lively effect. The storage bag was super handy and even works as a net to scoop them up from the water when you're done playing.I got the smallest set ("large"), and there was plenty of variety. They are brightly colored, with lots of different animals represented; although not exactly the ones that are pictured. The kid recognized some of the animals, some were new to him, and he definitely had a handful of favorites. Not amazing quality, but it really didn't matter. The fishes each have a small phillips head screw in them which acts as the magnetic anchor; I tightened one that was slightly loose on arrival. Also had to re-tie the worm on the end of the fishing rod that came loose during play. Because of that I would recommend no unsupervised play with these, but we were doing that anyway because water.Adults also had a little fun using the fishing rod in water while the kid played.Overall, great fun for the price.

Value for Your Money.
I bought these fishing rods for my 2 and 3 year old as water toys for their water table. I haven't yet tested how great they are in water.Upon arrival one of the rod tips was already bent. Immediately I requested a return and recieved another package fairly quickly. With the amount of fish you get to include fishing rods, its worth the price but unfortunately its not durable nor resilient as advertised. The strength of the plastic is very cheap and yeah, no kidding why one of the tips of the rod was bent. I am unsatisfied with how cheaply these were made but I give it 3 stars for effort in the attempt to making a pretty awesome toy. The magnetic strength is great on both the fish and poles. The poles do reel in and make a sound and the poles do collapse for easier storage which is a one upper! I look forward to trying this on my kids water table once the weather gets better and continue my review.Update: Much expected the kids loved the fishing rods. They were easy for to extend and retrieve the plastic fish. I would recommend them as a wonderful gift for the summer or bath time fun 😀

magnet is only on the fishing pole
the rest of the aquatic life is just cheap plastic with metal. I use it in the bathtub and it keeps the kids entertained while I take turns soaping them and everything. The pole actually has a functioning rope so that is super neat for them but I can see the safety concern to have a string that can entangle them if they are too little Keep in mind the age restriction and never leave a child unsupervised with this toy. I had these toys for a while now and they seem good. the kids have not tried to break them so no water has gotten on the pieces so it is pretty good and since I dry them after use no rusting from the metal pieces has been observed. One problem is the pole though the rope is tied not with an actual fishing knot so with the water and kids being kids the small magnet carrying worm can get undone. So before you give it to the kids remake this knot to keep it from separating and having to deal with an upset child that thinks they don't need your help to fix it. another thing is that the pole if fully extended will bend if reeled too much, this is good but do keep in mind that overexcited kids might reel too much and end up breaking it. Another thing is that I wish the container was full mesh instead of mesh plastic fabric mix because it makes the drying process a little longer not a really big problem but I see how this was thought for children to use as a back pack but a fully mesh container would have been more practical as children will prefer other backpacks.
