I Find You in the Darkness

I cannot possibly say enough about Alfa and her brilliant words. This woman is an indescribable soul and when you think nothing could possibly get better, she proves you wrong. This isn’t just a book of poetry or prose, not a typical book of all that’s been said before, this is an experience that everyone should dive into. You will come out of it changed for the better. Alfa has the undeniable power to make you feel as though she has been where you are or where you once were and you have never been alone. Every book written by Alfa should be required reading. She proves that there is grace in pain and light at the end of any tunnel. Her words are Life changing.

Alfa has a style all her own, and it’s incredible.This book has some beautiful art work and pages, but Alfa’s words are the life in the pages. Her words are always so relatable. She understands the innermost parts of life, love, and the individual’s heart.If you enjoy poetry, Alfa creates art with her words. They are honest, filled with love, loss, and hope. This book, like her others, will keep you in the pages. And the pages will keep you.

Alfa’s penetrating words make you feel less alone as they captivate your heart and soul. A wonderfully moving book of poetry and prose. A must-have to include in your poetry collection!

Recently, I have been getting into the poetry genre, up to this point I hadn’t really found anything that –A – I really understood and B – That I could relate to on any level.Then one day while scrolling I came across a book with the most gorgeous cover and title (I’m a sucker for a good cover and title) and decided to purchase.That book was ‘I will find you in the darkness’ by Alfa.The title spoke to me, I had a feeling that this could be the book that might change my opinion of the poetry genre, it turned out to not only change my opinion but also my life.We are all on our own journey of self discovery, but sometimes we need a little help, we need to know that we are not walking this road alone. The content of this book is emotional, raw and intense.We walk hand in hand with Alfa, as she takes us on a journey through poetry, a journey of the mind and soul. There are so many poems here that are relatable and so powerful – I loved every minute of reading this dime of a book!In my opinion Alfa has literally created a masterpiece, her own journey through dark and light is described with such emotion that I felt was so honest and straight to the point.Some of my favourite poems were ‘Death’, ‘Player’, ‘Today’, ‘Pulling Away’, ‘Insensitive’, ‘Rewrite’, ‘Where were you’ and also ‘Sleep Never Comes’. There were many more that I loved and felt a strong personal connection with, but rather than list them all I’m just going to strongly recommend that you pick this one up!*I feel that I should mention that this books content could be triggering for some people*An easy 5 stars!
