One of the best action cameras that doesn’t break your bank. I’ve been using this for a really long time now so it’s safe to say I’ve explored everything and tested it to its limits. This camera out performs many cameras when it comes to stabilization initially I was gonna buy the DJI action camera but looking at the stabilization in both the cameras I opted for the SJ cam. Underwater photos are absolutely perfect and stunning with this camera, night time footage and video is good enough and the build quality is sturdy enough the rubberized texture gives it great feel when holding it in hand. The touchscreen is the most amazing part of everything, it’s vivid smooth and fluid. Camera modes are decent and now for the things that are not so great , the FOV or field of view, it’s a very frustrating aspect when the camera doesn’t let you get the most FOV with gyro on. The color balance sometimes things get really over saturated and grainy, when the suns too bright people’s facial features go missing haha. That’s acceptable though, but the FOV when gyro is on that one needs to be looked into. Now the final big one spares, they’re freaking expensive even accessories like mics are way over the 500 mark and are priced astronomically high wish there were cheaper accessories for this camera. All in all it’s a great camera 10/10 I would recommend it to everyone. I have only been using this device for a couple days, and in those days, I have found a few things that I will write in detail.1. This is one of the cheapest action cameras available out there, so I went into this purchase with the bare minimum of expectations. Upon delivery, even though not mentioned in the product description, the box contains several accessories name different types of screw mounts and extension mounts. However, it does not contain a wrist, chest, head or helmet mount. If you want those, you will have to purchase it separately. The camera itself was displayed in the box in it's waterproof case with a mount already attached to it. The box also contains a lens cover and a charging cable compatible with this device. That is a welcome addition since your usual Type A or Type C cables will not work on this model.2. The first impression upon turning on the camera was quite good. It displays the logo of the brand and the tagline with a little ping sound to indicate power flow. It also has sounds for capturing photos, and starting and stopping videos. The image quality is not exactly top notch, but at this price point, it is good enough, no to mention the wide angle of the lens is a massive advantage in this device, a feature greatly welcome in any action camera. The screen is tiny, but it is a LCD touchscreen and while it's not exactly responsive like a smartphone touchscreen, it does the job. Besides, the less sensitivity helps in avoiding accidental touches.3. Several formats of video are available in 720p, 1080p, 2K and interpolated 4K. Out of these, I have found that the 2K provides the best video quality in 30fps, however, the video resolution I most use is 1080p 60fps, in which the video quality is more than enough. The 60fps makes it a treat to watch videos I shoot while mounted on my bicycle. The image quality is also good enough although as expected, it gets a little grainy in low light. In truth, the camera exceeds expectations at this price.4. The camera also has a Wi-Fi connection system which when coupled with the SJCAM Zone Android app in my case, allows for the download of both images as videos. It also provides a live view of the lens and allows cycling modes such as photo to video, time lapse, interval photos etc. There is, however, a one second lag, which also reflects greatly on the download speed. On this point, the device also has a car mode, which I image allows the camera to turn on as soon as connected to a charger in a car, which allows you to mount the camera as a dashcam. Coupled to a charging point, it is limited only by it's storage capacity. I personally use a 32GB microSD, which gives an estimated 2 hours 15 minutes of video at 1080p 60fps. However, the description says it supports larger cards, which I am eager to try. In essence, the camera has several modes and features abound as expected of an action camera.5. The camera does heat up quite a lot. Some heat is to be expected in normal operation, however, the 4K 24fps mode heats it up excessively so I would suggest avoiding it while operating on the battery. In terms of battery, it has lasted me about 1 hour 45 minutes on a single charge, and this was while all the lights and screens were turned off during normal video recording at 1080p@60fps. This is also a very useful feature as it helps not draw attention to the camera with flashing lights and bright screens. I found it immensely helpful.6. In terms of audio, it is okay, but as I said, it's better than expected at this price range. There is no external mic provided in the box, but SJCAM sells microphones separately. The internal microphone provides decent audio quality but it captures wind noise quite efficiently, too. Some post processing will be required to counter this. I am eager to try the external mic and I will update this review when I have done so.7. Lastly, in terms of stability, it is good, but it is not great. The camera features a 4 - axis gyroscopic stability which is evident when recording while mounted on the handlebar of a bicycle, but it absorbs every bit of vibration from the road such as tiny potholes and speed bumps. Still, again, at this price point, especially at 60fps, the video is good enough, even in low light conditions without using the inbuilt Low Light Mode. It will probably look better since my bicycle does not have any sort of suspension and therefore makes the frame absorb every single vibration. I am confident this issue will not be seen when mounted on a motorcycle, and not at all if mounted on a helmet. And most people seem to buy this for motovlogging, as have I, which is a purpose well served by this camera.If you're looking for a camera to do your own motovlogging, go for it. You will not be disappointed. So far, so good. It has only been a couple of days so there's still a long time left to find out more. I will update this review as the device passes longer usage.

Camera clarity is really bad.

I have choiced a good product after a long search, query, reviews . For beginners & one who looks for a minimum budget with maximum benefits.. I miss zoom option & front display but I know with a little cost they cannot afford all under one roof...even I feel builtin mic is worthy enough . Even @ night the pictures/ videos are clear. Really product is a LEGEND..

First impression: Everything is just great. Build quality, battery backup. picture quality, video quality.Battery can record upto 2 hrs plus in 1080p 50fps.4k is good for still and slow movement recording only, which can record only till 25fps, which less for fast movements.Only CON: Gyro stops working even after 1 day jerky use, mounted on motorcycle or cycle, without Gyro, videos are too jerky.Replaced 2 SJ6 cams, cuz gyro sensor stopped working both the times.Seller is good, Quick replacement. No issues with seller.Thank you..

This SJ CAM lived up to my all expectations. You can use it as a Web Cam, Car Dash Cam and Action Cam. Quality is decent in this price range and can capture 4K as well. I would say best action cam in this price and also comes with several mounts and 3M tape. Battery backup is average as it is with other action cams. I used this cam for few days and can confirm that it is a good product which is 3 times less in price from GoPro
