I had purchased these fun astronaut snacks for my boys years ago at a children’s museum & they enjoyed them so much, they requested more! I couldnt find them again, until this year on amazon! The packaging has changed a bit, but, they are as described and exactly what my sons and I fondly remember! Great for imagining and for a teaching tool about space exploration! So, so pleased

This review is based off of my son's comments on this product as I am not an ice cream eater. I get these once a year for a Christmas gift for my son. He is now 16 and the first thing on his list is these ice cream sandwiches. He usually eats one as soon as he opens the present and they are gone within a couple of days. This brand is the best value on cost and taste that I have found.

Man last night I was smokin on some gelato hybrid strain at about 1:30am when I got the strangest craving for that old snack we used to have as kids that blew our minds! Astronaut Ice Cream! This stuff was so good when I was a kid probably cuz it's all sugar lol. Thank God for Amazon they had some ice cream bars and they shipped to my house in less than 12 hours! WOW! I had a vanilla as soon as the box showed up, after I sprayed it down with lysol of course "corona" cough cough.. but my bars were in good conditon. I noticed some of the reviews were bad but mine were perfect so far! The flavor is so good I couldn't put it down! Best junk food that's out of this world!

It would be much better if it were just the rectangle of freeze dried ice cream which most people encountered in the Air & Space Museum, as a child. It’s an ice cream sandwich. So it’s a chocolate cookie between you and your pad of freeze dried ice cream. The rectangle of freeze dried ice cream would be so much better.

We like to cruise & usually someone puts together a "Meet & Greet". There is usually a gift exchange & you are asked to give something representing where you live. Since we live in Florida, these are always in my gift bags, along with possibility of a magnet, Christmas tree ornament, or those astronaut pens that write up-side down featured on an old Seinfeld. I mix everything up, but these always seem to be a hit, especially if a man gets it. I can tell he can't wait to see how it works & tastes--lol

Had to try astronaut food! Plus freeze dried is the new thing now! If you didn't know. These ice cream sandwiches are crunchy an creamy once you start chewing... It's pretty cool to try...not something I'd eat when I can have the frozen ones here on earth .. but def cool thing to experience! Or good thing to have in a box for when the power goes out! Or if you lived in a year round colder place.... Didn't want a frozen one! But definitely was fun thing to try! My kids loved it too!

My kids loved astronaut ice cream when they tried it before and I believe it was a different brand. The one that they had before had broken up pieces in there. I chose these sandwiches because they offer different flavors and I thought it would be fun for them to try. All three of us took one bite and all agreed they were going into the garbage.On top of that they were really expensive.
