This little device was ordered to assist removing stones from 6kg of damsons, which it did quickly and effectively. It coped with the tiniest little fruit to the biggest (it would not be suitable for regular plums though!). One of the downsides of any fruit pitter is that you lose more of the flesh than when you remove the stone with a knife. But compared with my single stoner, this removed less flesh per fruit, and we ran the 'juicy stones' around a stainless steel sieve which recovered some of the attached pulp. In terms of use, it is quick to load, simple to use and much, much quicker and less messy than using the single pitter or doing it manually. The base collects a fair number of stones, so needs emptying about every fourth or fifth time. If you process a lot of fruit for canning, jams, jellies or wine-making, this device works wonders! The only downside is that the metal prongs that remove the stone are somewhat difficult to get really clean but we overcame that using a power hose. Works well for cherries too.

We bought this to take the stones out of some wild damsons we'd picked locally. I read the reviews and a couple mentioned using with damsons.I started by filling all 6 slots with damsons but only the first 3 had any real effect so just did 3 at a time using the 3 slots nearest the hinge. This worked okay but the main problem was that the holes weren't big enough for most of the damson stones to go through so they had to be picked up and the stone manually squeezed out. It did need quite a bit of pressure as the stones wouldn't drop through but nothing cracked or broke so I was quite impressed. With the smallest damsons it worked well when the stones dropped through.Apart from this it worked well and quickly dealt with about 1kg of damsons.Considering it is designed for cherries it did the job and was quicker than manually try to remove the stones.I've no doubt it would work well with smaller cherries.

Despite plastic appearance this is a sturdy, well made product. Simple to use, safer to operate with one hand. Pitted 300g of cherries in short order. Not all pups removed but that is covered in the instructions. Easy to empty and clean. Definitely recommend it just hope I don’t have to wait as long for another glorious crop of cherries from my tree and I can beat the blackbirds to them.

Great gadget that has saved me loads of time taking the stones out of the cherries from my tree. I am so pleased with it as last year I spent hours taking them out and ended up mangling a lot of the cherries. This takes out the stones from 6 cherries at the same time and leaves them 'cherry shaped. Easy to take apart and clean too.

Bought this as I use a lot of olives in cooking. So easy to use, neat, clean, versatile and so quick. Successful on olives and cherries

Recieved this product today and already tried it, easy to use, well made product and clean, comes with good instructions, handy that it de-stones Cherries or Olives 6 at a time and they all keep their shape.

Almost every time I use it a bit of it snaps off but apart from that works well and does what its meant to do
