Useful book for first time tortoise keepers

Just too brief and does not describe hibernation which is what I wanted information on.

AN OK BOOK -

A bit dry no pictures. (Barely none) but. Very informative so far. Excellent condition for a used book. Super price.

Lots of new information for raising a pet tortoise. Now I will feed him a variety of foods. And I only use bottled water. Thanks for the tips and research on my pet Tortoise.

We gave a copy of this book to our 8 year old granddaughter when she received a tortoise for her birthday. It should be understood that it is written at a higher reading level, meaning that my wife and I help her to read and understand various questions and issues concerning the raising of her pet. This strikes me as a win/win because she typically does not like to read, but makes an exception for this book because it helps her raise "Shellby". So far, we have not encountered a problem or topic that the book does not address. It seems to be fairly comprehensive. A must for anyone who isn't already familiar with the do's and don'ts of tortoise raising.

Helpful book for proper care and feeding of our little tortoise

This is a great book that arrived in great condition. We have read it a couple times already!
