Fantastic small cast iron pot
Amazing value for money for a solid, cast iron pot.Very well made, with a well fitting lid.Came with clear instructions for keeping the cast iron in good condition. So easy to clean and nothing has stuck to it.It's quite heavy, as you'd expect, which demonstrates its quality.Bought to use as a simmer pot and it works well. I was surprised with how the water boiled but it looked amazing. For general cooking its an excellent size for one person but wouldnt work for more if doing stewcasseroles etc .Excellent little pot, suitable for all cooking abilities.I'm so happy I found a proper, well made pot.

Excellent little pot
I ordered this mid May, delivery estimate was July- December but it was delivered mid June, just a month after ordering. It was such a bargain at £18 that it was definitely worth waiting for. It's a fab little pot and it looks great. Its good quailty, nice and heavy, really well made and the lid fits snugly. Yes it does have 'amazon basics' embossed onto the exterior bottom, but who cares? The pot arrived pre-seasoned but I gave it a good clean and applied my own seasoning before using.I see a number of reviews mentioning rust but honestly that's down to the pot not being properly looked after between uses - ALL cast iron pans rust if you don't keep them properly seasoned! There are even instructions included, in case you've never used cast iron before, but it's very straightforward. This little pot will be hugely versatile. I originally bought it to cook on a fire pit but since the weather hasn't been particularly great so far this summer I've used it indoors. I've made one-pot type dishes with great success, both in the oven and on the hob. I'm intrigued by the idea of using it for baking and to make bread, and I'm already thinking I maybe I now need to buy the bigger pot too.Overall a fantastic quality cast iron pot that arrived much quicker than expected, that will last a lifetime with proper care.

Amazing for the money
Really solid cast iron pan with good instructions on seasoning it. Decent size (was worried it would be very small but it's very practical actually).Only slight peeve is that it has "Amazon Basics" moulded on the base. Sort of cheapens it for no reason.

I love this pot
I love this. It acts like all pots of its kind. keep it oiled or wee bits will rust. Now we know why grandma welcomed aluminium pots and pans. This particular pot is quite small but I love cooking home made curries in it.

A cast iron dutch oven with a reasonable price
Wasn't having a high expectation on the dutch oven originally, as it only costs around £18. However, it surprises me! We used this for deep frying and baking. Works perfectly well! It works perfectly fine on my ceramic hob. It keeps the temperature stable during deep frying and when we put that into the oven for baking, it did the job well! With this size, I can finally make some smaller sourdough and also use less oil for deep frying.Regarding cleaning, I just use hot water and the wire brush to clean it. Afterwards, just use a damp towel to dry it and put some oil back onto the cooking surface. Easy to clean!

This pot is terrific
This pot is terrific. Great quality, looks and thankfully a snug lid. Perfect size for a couple or single, I doubt it would do for families. It is cast iron, so you have to look after it and if you do there is no problem with rust.

Great size and price.
This pot is the perfect size to fit into my Ninja Speedi. You can use it without the inner ninja pan directly into the cooker.I've used it to bake bread and it works fantasticly.I did do an extra seasoning on the pan before using it (coated in oil and baked on high for 1 hour) and have had no problems at all with rust as some others have commented.Cast iron does require some care so if you just want a pan to wash and leave to drain or put away wet look elsewhere. I lightly oil mine after cleaning and use and it looks like new after being used numerous times
