Know what's in your air!
I bought this with the intention of better understanding our air quality prior to futher investing in the likes of HEPA air filters etc.My son has been suffering with allergies for a few years now, but mainly at night. He'll wake up and spend the first hour sneezing with his eyes and nose streaming. We've employed every tactic we know to clean his room and remove as much dust and potential allergens as possible but still he suffers. So the idea here is to better understand the air quality and then hopefully find a direct solution as opposed to blindly stumbling up on it (if at all). The device is fantastic, and the fact that it makes recommendations that are in context with your wider environment, really show the attention to detail that's been followed in building it. For example, we live in a fairly rural area, so I wouldn't expect us to have city air issues, however when the CO2 in the house gets high the Awair will either recommend you open a window, or if the outside air conditions don't warrant it, get more plants! Just like the other night when there was a fairly heavy fog settling in.Not sure why the review asks for battery life ratings... it's USB powered.

Well designed and easy to use
I'm very happy with my Awair (which I ordered directly from their UK site). It is very easy to set up and use and I find the information useful. Before I had no idea about the CO2 levels in my apartment. Though I suspected they were high, I now know exactly and can measure the improvement.I wish Awair would be more open with access to the data. As a software developer I would appreciate full access to my data to log it and process it.The device is not completely silent. If you have good hearing and a very quiet bedroom you can hear a faint buzz in the background. I got used to it after a couple of nights.

Great Air Quality Monitor for the house :)
As we live in London, we've been curious as to the ongoing air quality where we live. The Awair 2 is helping us get to that intelligence - and we're very grateful for that.Nice to be able to get an accurate and near instant reading on the air quality in our house. For example, we opened up the loft the other day, and the PM2.5 reading spiked pretty much immediately. It's good to be able to see how sensitive it is.The device is good as it provides information on 5 separate metrics, and then gives an overall rating. It's a stylish thing to have in the house, and the associated App is a boon for information in terms of the air quality in our house. Given it's size, it's going to be easy to move around the house depending on our requirement. If you've been wondering about the air quality in your environment, then this device is a good thing to have available. Recommended - 9/10.

Expensive, but well made and highly functional
Good looking and very well made device.Seems very sensitive to change, e.g. hairdryer use radically alters dust and chemical levels.Ifttt integration is hugely useful, such as switching on heating or ventilation if air quality deteriorates.Only downside is price. I would like one of these in every room bit not at £170...

Results after 1 month weeks of testing
Just received this one and decided to take it for a test run after updating firmware. Hooked up a usb power stick and have been moving it around different areas of my place (bed, bedroom, outside, bathroom etc.) So far, the results are as following:CO2:Appears to be correct and matches well with the areas that are getting good air flowHumidity: correctTemp: correctHOWEVER, the main point of this machine is to test for chemicals and dust (2.5pm). Here it appears to be inaccurate. I’m getting top scores everywhere. This looked highly suspicious so I put it in the back of a dusty closet (that has never been vacuumed), then tried facing it directly against an old dusty rug before finally putting it behind an old couch (probably the dustiest place in the house). NB: I am not an expert at this and there might be a difference between dust in the air (which this measures) and dust on the ground, although those two things should be related in those areas. The Awair is showing a perfect score and claiming there is no dust anywhere... that seems weird. Will update after more use. Perhaps it will change.Update after 1 week:I have had some interesting findings. Still not convinced but seeing chemical/VOCs rise in the morning when the window is open is interesting (morning city traffic).Update after 2 weeks:I have now increased my review to 3 stars. The VOC measurements do change according to the environment. Hairspray, candles and morning traffic all trigger what looks like correct reactions. It looks quite good. Dust/pm measurements still seem oddUpdate after 1 month:Most of the above appears to be correct. I am still unsure of the 2.5pm measurements.

Key tool in managing allergies
It is simple to operate, with five distinctive categories and tips in order to manage your indoor air effectively. Has improved my sleep patterns and made me much more aware of what elements contribute to poorer air quality and how to fix them. Would recommend to anyone who has allergies to dustmite particles, pollen and difficulties breathing.

Very smart device and good quality
Very smart device. Working with Alexa and accurate editing the air quality report in the sleeping time. Alarming on the smart phone the problem can come with the room air quality. I tried many devices but this one is top for shore.

Nice design, but after 13 months it is noisy and out of warranty
I really liked this product and it is fascinating to learn about the air in your home. I even bought two. But now 13 months after purchase and one has become increasingly noisy and the sound of the fan makes it unpleasant to have on at night. With only a 12 month warranty on such an expensive item, this is unacceptable and I can’t recommend.

Genial

Utile e indispensabile in casa
