This banneton proofing basket set is a great value and works exactly as expected. The 10-inch round and oval baskets are sturdy, made from natural rattan, and help the dough hold its shape really well. Everything arrived nicely packaged and included the sourdough starter jar, which was a nice extra. Just a note: it doesn’t come with instructions on how to make sourdough, so you’ll need to look that up on your own. Once you do, this set is easy to use, reusable, and perfect for shaping artisan loaves. Great for both beginners and experienced bakers. Very happy with this purchase and would buy again.

This is a great set. It got me started on my sourdough journey. Of course I’ve added and switched things out, but I do still use quite a bit from this set. I highly recommend it as a starter kit.

Nice collection of needed items for bread making. There are extra items that I don’t use. But the baskets, liners, mat & scraper are nice quality & clean easily. Would recommend.

Great kit for a Sourdough beginner. Has everything you need.

I decided I wanted to learn how to make sourdough bread so I bought this starter tool set without even knowing what tools I would need. This set had everything I needed to make great sourdough. Glad I bought it.

I gave this as a gift for Christmas, and the person was thrilled. He couldn't wait to get started. If you know a baker who'd enjoy making her/his own bread from scratch, this would make a great gift.

Must have for first time bakers!

The search for a starter set was overwhelming!! So many choices. So many prices. I just wanted the basics, and finally just found this one that seemed to meet my needs without too much fluff or $. Everything arrived in great condition. The rattan bowls seem to be a good quality, no splintering or strong smell (a slight odor, as to be expected). The silicone mats look great and seem to be quality. I like that there are two different shape bowls, as I plan on making several types. All of the accessories appear to be a decent quality that should hold up for a while, and help make the bread making process much easier. Seems to cover everything you could need for getting started, and I love these little flour duster designs so much more than the cheesy little ones that I would never use from some of the other sets that I’ve seen on Amazon. I can’t yet speak to putting all of this to use. I’m washing everything now and hope to try it out soon. If things start falling apart, I’ll come back and start punching stars off.
