The main ingredients are good with the Ubiquinol CoQ10 being in the active "Kaneka" form at 100mg.. The only "other ingredient" I wish wasn't present is the "annatto", but so far I haven't had any adverse reaction(s) to it. The others are ok. The soft gel itself is really huge and I dread swallowing each one for fear it might get stuck in my throat. That hasn't happened so far as I'm being careful how to swallow it, i.e. not have it go down the throat sideways. I've deducted 1 star for the huge size and including "annatto". Hopefully, "Health Thru Nutrition" will make a soft gel Ubiquinol that's half the size of this one.

My senior dog has been on Kaneka Ubiquinol by HTN for about a month now. A bit too early to say for certain, but I do think it is helping her cognitively speaking, and I hope it will help keep her joints in good health too. Mood wise after I've been noticing a few changes (she’s 15), I do see an improvement. I spent quite a bit of time researching the highest quality brand available to us, and at an affordable cost. So far so good and would recommend. To note, she has a healthy heart and good blood pressure, but is in early stages of chronic kidney disease. So I am using for several different factors. Ubiquinol (Kaneka seal) offers the most bioavailability form of CoQ10. I cut the end of the capsule and add to her home cooked meals once a day. 100mg is prefect.
