Will not work if the surface is stone. There is a slight diaphragm/bulge just beneath the top to pressure fit or prevent from pulling out. If your surface is solid surface it won’t fit a 2” diameter.

This set is a nice quality stainless steel pieces. Not thin or inferior metal. Good replacements or for original pieces. Great if you’re having a piece made and need these protective sleeves. Perfect for hot curling irons. Would also work in home applications. This is a good buy!
