Powdered Almond Butter - Yay
Got this to replace the powdered peanut butter - can no longer have peanuts. The two products are not quite the same. This is salt and sugar free - which is fine if you just want to add to a shake or on your oatmeal. But to mix for a PBJ it is a bit lacking in flavor and appearance. It looked more like paper mache and kind of tasted like it too lol. I have since added sweetner and some salt to what is left in my container (upon the advice of someone). Hoping that will help some. I will continue to use though for oatmeal and shakes if nothing else. I do love Barney products - esp the creamy almond butter- so yummy!!

Delicious AND Healthy!
Great find--glad to find a not-peanut nut butter! It's practical, you get all the protein without the fat calories, and the powder is easy to add to many foods. Have reconstituted it with water and spread it on toast with honey or jam and added it to fruit. Also tasty just added in powder form to oatmeal and sandwiches. Yum!

Not much flavor-but great additional nutrition for smoothies, oatmeal etc
This is almost flavorless-so don't expect a big almond influence. However, it blends in well with various foods, adding nutrition. It's super light-so backpackers, hikers and campers can bring this on the trail. Not sure if it will turn into "butter" with water-but I just add it to things dry.

A good low-fat option to rival blanched almond butter
It is noteworthy that this product is made of blanched almonds, which means the skin is removed from the almonds to produce the product. This means the taste of the product is coming from blanched almonds, and not from whole roasted almonds. Regular almond butter on the supermarket shelf typically comes from whole almonds, and not from blanched almonds. A fair flavor comparison for this product would be to taste blanched almonds before you taste this product. Another fair flavor comparison would be blanched almond flour. Blanched almonds have a very mild, almost bland flavor. Marzipan is typically made from a combination of blanched almonds and a special variety of bitter almonds that impart the characteristic of bitter almond flavor. In the industry, the characteristic bitter almond flavor that we recognize is provided by the addition of almond extract. Without the extract or the bitter almond component, blanched almonds are rather bland. So one may add a couple of drops of almond extract to this product to impart a marzipan taste from this product, if desired. Likewise, a near-flavor comparison for this product is blanched almonds, and not the flavor of regular almond butter that we know in the store that comes from almonds with their skins. I give this product 4 (out of 5) stars because it is a useful low-fat option for consumers who wish to make use of almonds, but prefer to keep the fat content down. I would have given such a product 5 stars if it were certified organic. This product maiy likely be valuable to consumers who have a dislike for peanut products, or who are allergic to peanuts, because this product is manufactured in a peanut-free facility.

it's shelf-stable almond milk, you guys!!
I have no idea if this is a good nut butter substitute, because I use it to make my morning coffee...it only takes about 1/4th tsp of this with hot water in a blender to make a decent almond milk substitute. Seriously, I think this would make like 50 bottles of almond milk.but ya know what it doesn't have? Water. that means fewer fossil fuels used to ship it across the country. but also, it stays good out of the fridge, yay camping.Ya know what else it doesn't have? almond oil. Most of the fat has been removed. I add fat back in, but I find MCT oil is far easier on my body than almond oil is, so I add that to the blender to make the morning coffee too.

Kind of Weird, but good source of clean protein
Very healthy and healthy tasting. It is sort of flavorless, but I added cinnamon and stevia and it makes it better. Not realyl a sub for normal almond butter, but if you want to add protein to smoothies or something like that then I would recommend it.

Great tasting almond powder
I love adding this almond power to my protein shakes. It adds not only protein, but also cuts down on the sweetness of the protein powder. It’s a great value and quality!
