Great choice! So much you can do with this device!
Love, love, love my Fitbit Charge 3! I wasn't aware when I purchased it just how many ways I would find it helpful to me.Let me start by saying that I am 62 years old and have NEVER been athletic at all and I am NOT the self-motivated-type. I had knee surgery at the age of 19 which has limited what activities I could do. I have been fairly slim most of my life, but my weight had crept up over the past several years since I sit at a computer all day at work. One thing I can do is walk! So, once I got my Fitbit Charge 3 I started walking after work. At first, I just walked slowly for about a mile, but when I started to lose weight I got motivated to increase my exercise. My Fitbit helps me accurately keep track of the # of minutes, # of miles, # of steps, my heart rate, # of calories, my pace...it is amazing! I use these numbers to slowly (and safely) push myself to do a bit more every week!I also began logging my food consumption and water intake. Doing this I was able to see what changes I needed to make. I have not kept up with it as it is time-consuming, but just doing so for a few weeks pretty much pointed me to the changes I needed to make.Lastly, I have worn my Fitbit to bed to track my sleep patterns. I can't do a whole lot about my sleep, but I can see what my normal patterns are. One thing I found was that I really did sleep better after changing out my pillow for a cooler one. Without my Fitbit, I wouldn't have known if I was imaging my sleep was improved or if it truly was.So, there you have it! I have lost 13 pounds and now weigh only 5 pounds more than I did when I graduated high school! I feel better and look better! My hubby is happier! Buy one! You won't be sorry!

Love that I can wear this in the pool.
This is my first tracker I have ever own. Before I bought this I read all the reviews. This really did not have high reviews. But after reading all the reviews on all the trackers out there and coming to the conclusion that all trackers might be off by around 500 steps I deciding to give this one a try. Lets just say I am so glad I went with the fitbit charge 3. My resting heart rate average the first week was 75. 2nd. week 72, 3rd week 69, 4th week 70. Into my 5th week and hoping for a 68. This tracker has done what I needed it to do. Make me move more. Even though I already knew that and should of been able to just move on my own, I didn't. Go figure. Another plus is my house is a lot cleaner & the garden has less weeds. So if you are on the fence about getting one, I would highly recommend that you do so. On another note set your own goals for your own lifestyle. Someone that has a desk job might not get in as many steps. Also set a timer for 5 minutes and just walk at your normal pace to see how many steps you can get in. That help me to know it just takes me 5 minutes to get 500 steps.

Good for improving overall health.
I read the reviews before I purchased this FitBit. This is my first FitBit, prevesouly I used MyFitnessPal. I purchased this 2 months ago and my opinion is that it is a good over all health tracker. The biggest issue that I read in the reviews was the date not being on the clock face. They have updated it and the date does show on the clock face now. Some of the reviews also said the heart rate was not accurate but I have found it to be reasonably accurate and if you are looking to improve your overall health this is a good option. The battery life without charging is usually 3 days for me personaly, which I consider good. The app on you install on your phone is completely customizable and if you are a female it also has female health tracking which so far has been accurate for me. I like the hourly step reminder and the preview on the device for text messages and calls. You can scroll through key stats from the device as well as on the phone app. The draw backs for me are that it has to be connected to the charger to be shut off, the auto detect for exercise is not accurate, when your driving it may auto detect you riding a bike, running or count steps. To get around this I turned off the auto recoginze and keep my charger in my car and plug my FitBit into the charger while I am driving. When it is charging it doesnt record any data. My daily commute is 45 minutes one way so my FitBit is always charged now. If any of the programmers from FitBit read this though a pause button for drive times would be Amazing! Overall the benefits of the product and the price point make it a good buy that can be a useful tool in becoming a healthier you.

Upgraded from Charge 2, I LOVE IT!
First off, I can't believe the number of people who rated the product very low because it didn't have a clock face with a date on it. It doesn't take away the functionality of the watch (heart rate, steps, etc.) but somehow the lack of a date is worth docking 2 or 3 stars.Secondly, now that they have added clock faces with dates on them, I'm astounded by the number of people who haven't changed their reviews. I rely on reviews for products I buy and I almost didn't buy the Charge 3 because of these "negative" reviews, and thank goodness I didn't listen. This is a sleek and beautiful fitness tracker. It's supposedly a bit wider than the Charge 2, but I haven't noticed any extra bulk. I will say the larger screen makes it seem more bulky, but feel-wise it's about the same. Although I probably won't be swimming anytime soon, I'm very happy that it's waterproof. Now there's no worry if I splash water on it when washing my hands, and I no longer have to take it off to wash dishes.I haven't had it long enough to see if the heart rate monitor is better than on the Charge 2, but even if it were the same I would have no complaints.I'm very glad I upgraded to the Charge 3.
