Perfect for science experiment
These were exactly as advertised and were precisely what I needed for a science experiment. My students were in awe the first time they saw the paper strip color change depending on the liquid tested.

Works As Advertised
Strips are of a good length and uniform color. Tests with HCl and NaOH show both red and blue work well as advertised. Information on wrapper about how color change is initiated is a useful reminder for non-chemists. Product could be improved in two ways. In addition to the tight plastic cap, a small disc of desiccant in the cap or at the base would also help keep the strips dry. On the wrapper, a reminder that the color change can be reversed by adding a solution of the opposite pH would also be helpful.

Worked in the classroom.
Using this product in my classroom, I can say that this litmus paper does what it needs to. The blue paper reliably turns red in acidic conditions and the red paper turns blue is basic conditions. These are not designed to give you an exact pH, but are meant for a general indication. I have not spent the time to assess the sensitivity of the litmus paper. If you're trying to test something very slightly acidic and basic it might not be the best option.
