A must-add to your coffee library.
This is a beautiful and brilliant book. As an ex-barista, I have more coffee books than I know what to do with, but this is by far the most lovely. It's coffee book meets coffee-table book. Full of information and tremendous photographs. If you do plan to read it, know that it's densely packed with information, and not an introductory style light read.Espresso from Bean to Cup, The Complete Guide to Expresso, Cappuccino, Latte and Coffee Is a great introductory option (for almost no money) as an introduction to espresso - it touches on other coffee and beans some. Although a bit dated, it is full of useful information.Another option is Kenneth David's book: Coffee: A Guide to Buying, Brewing, and EnjoyingI haven't spent much time with the Blue Bottle coffee book, but it is a bit more modern, and addresses all types of coffee, and comes highly recommended.

Fun to read!
It was a pleasant journey to learn where coffee comes from, the way harvested, water and the roasting process that influence the taste of a cup of coffee.

Excellent book!
This is an excellent coffee book. I've been roasting my own coffee for over a year now, and I haven't found a good book that explains the details I've been looking for until I found this book. It's not only a good table top book ( because the pictures are really nice!) but it has wonderful reference points and knowledge in it as well. In just the week that I've had it, I've been able to correct some of my own errors in roasting where other books I have make no mention of where I needed the extra help.

Great all around coffee reference
I am new to brewing and grinding my own custom coffee and that's why I bought this excellent book. There is a LOT of great information about all the different kinds of coffee, on a world round basis. I doubt I will even be able to get a handle on all of them, but it's very nice to have a reference that I can go to when friends make suggestions. The part of the book dealing with grinding and brewing offered many good suggestions and I am very happy I make this purchase.

Great Gift for Coffee Enthusiasts or Just for your Own Coffee Table :)
I got this book as a present for a friend who loves coffee.....and he was impressed. I'm talking about a guy who says Starbucks "sucks" and won't drink coffee that is not prepared fresh to his order. He was even a coffee master at some point but needless to say that he loves coffee and could be considered a "snob". I bought this book for him because it was 256 pages and seemed like a killer resource and when it arrived I knew I made the right choice.
