Beats a cord on the floor.
This is really nice and convenient to have. I have a barn shed and I needed to have light in it to see in the lofts. Prior to having this inlet, I would need to use a flashlight, but climbing a ladder with one hand is never a good idea. I also wanted to put some outlets in there because that's where I reload my ammo and have to run a brass tumbler, so I wired the shed interior and put in three outlets and a light. I drilled a 1 3/4 inch hole in the side, fed the wire out the hole, hooked it up the inlet and mounted it. All in all, I was done in under 10 minutes (not counting the wiring of the shed). Now all I have to do is run and extension cord to the shed and plug it in on the exterior. No more messing with a cord on the floor or a power strip. I gave a four for weatherproof because the flap ring is made of semi-stiff rubber and it didn't seem to fill completely in on the shed's exterior wall. Monsoon is coming soon, so I'll see if it is weatherproof without caulking around it. It seems to be made for flat/smooth surfaces. Bottom line is that it does exactly what I need it to do. Very happy I found it.

Works great
I installed this on my enclosed trailer and I works like it should. Only thing that concerned me was the 2 small screws holding in the aluminum side wall. My fix was to add wood behind the aluminum and that did the trick. No way it's coming loose now.

a good quality 15 amp 110v bulkhead fitting for an RV or generator feed .
Quality was, if anything, better than I expected and the pictures are accurate.

A very good product.
I used this to add an extension port to power a remote tool shed. It was not worth wiring the shed permanently so this allowed me to power it with an extension cord as needed. I connected it to an internal outlet in the shed and it works very well.

well made
I bought the Journeyman recessed 15 amp male plug to provide connection to a portable generator. and, through the garage wall, to a dedicated interior duplex receptacle. I found the unit to be well made and easy to install. I haven't had a power outage since installation, but I ran a test and everything worked great.

Good for vintage trailer electrical upgrades
Very easy to install in a vintage camper that only needs 15A service. Often the wires are short and this design is easy to connect the wires. Pretty much a modern replacement for the old round Bargman 3 prong rv plug that is now obsolete.
