Una gran ventaja es que sólo necesita alimentarse de un sólo cable de red tanto para datos como para energía. Bastante útil si quieres conectar más dispositivos por LAN, y te ahorras metros cable, en vez de jalar cables desde el Switch principal.

I bought two of these SG2005P-PD to connect cameras and Wi-Fi in my yard. They were easy to set up using the SDN Omada app and my OC200. You don't have to use the controller to make it work, it connects right out of box. Only drawback is that you have to provide a PoE injector. I'm using a 90w injector. In retrospect, a 60w would have been enough, but that's OK because I can power another PoE pass through switch with the extra wattage I have available. I like that I can monitor the devices connected to the switch and it even supports PoE recovery. All in all, I would say it worth the money spent.

I’ve been using the TP-Link TL-SG1005P-PD switch when adding security cameras, and it’s been a total game-changer. Since it’s PoE-powered, there’s no need to run 110V to each location—just a single Ethernet cable supplies both data and power. That makes installs cleaner, faster, and much more flexible. It’s completely plug-and-play, super reliable, and the fanless design means it runs silently, which is great for indoor use. I also appreciate the PoE passthrough capabilities—perfect for chaining devices where outlets are limited. Overall, this switch is rock-solid and a great value for small PoE camera setups. I plan to continue to grow my TP-Link Omada network using these, as well as the larger rack mount switches.

I got a couple of these and a PoE injector to power it so I didn't have to have a UPS in my network "closet" but they would function when power is out. These items take almost no power so you can daisy chain them to get more ports. My home network is super fast so I don't have any complaints about their functionality. And they have "keyholes" on the back so I could mount them to the wall with screws. That said, I wish they had an 8-port model. I have a regular 8-port switch and it takes all of a half watt of power, so one _could_ easily make a PoE passthrough switch with 8 ports. With only five ports, you have to daisy chain them and then each hub only nets three ports since one has to be connected upstream and one downstream in the chain.
