GM Genuine Parts 215-469 Vapor Canister

Great price quality part and didn't have to wait for it from overseas.Awesome...

This is the direct replacement for a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7x, Olds Bravada, not just 2006. In these trucks, if you top off the gas tank after the handle clicks, fuel will go into the vapor canister and pretty much ruin it and send saturated fumes to the engine. Additional parts you'll need with this are: 15200683-big bracket mounting the canister to the frame, 15100034-small bracket securing canister to big bracket, 11570085-new bolts, need 4, 11561740-U-nuts that clip to the frame that the bolts go into. I won't fill up more than 15 gallons now.

Well, it's a direct fit for a trailblazer/envoy. It sits right above the spare tire. If you live in the rust belt, be prepared to fabricate some kind of bracket to hold it up as needed or head to the junkyard in hopes of finding a clean replacement. Mine was rusted to dust and the bracket is discontinued from GM. Once I was able to find a clean used bracket, it installed with ease and my truck finally takes gas again.

Its hard to "LOVE" a vapor canister, however I was very happy with this purchase. This was a perfect replacement for my vehicle, and has resolved an issue with the vehicle stalling whenever the gas tank was overfilled. I would highly recommend this product. Also, be mindful that the line clips aren't the easiest to get off of the old canister.

The vapor canister fit my 2007 GMC Envoy 4.2L, however, the bracket is for a different application and there was a metal piece inside of one of the hose ports I had to remove (pulled out with slight twisting motion with a pair of pliers) then it fit, see pics to see the piece I removed. All I had to do was remove the spare tire and it’s held up on the drivers side by 3-13mm bolts and the bracket was held on by 1-13mm bolt and a small clip (you’ll need this clip to attach new canister to the old bracket). It drops down and has three hoses attached and that’s it, took me 30 minutes most of it fighting the plastic clips.
