If you know your tea, you will know that this is the tea of tea’s. It is an acquired taste and costs a little more but it is delicious and claims all sorts of health benefits. Reasonably priced for Pu-Erh, nicely packaged and a good size, in China it is sold in larger ‘wheels’ that cost $$$$$, so this is much more manageable.

What should be one of the strongest teas with a deep purple color, dark enough to be unable to see the bottom of the mug, is like light colored water. The flavour and aroma are no better. Pu-erh often comes in packed bricks but this is a 100g brick that requires chiseling. After the second try, steeping for five minutes, and still getting weak tea, I noticed that the harvest date is 2008. This is not red wine that ages wonderfully. Whoever sold this tea should be embarrassed.

The taste is ok but to my taste it's too earthy, I expected to have a bit of sweetness as described. I bought other pu ehr teas and they were sweet indeed. The most disappointing part is that it's just impossible to break a piece. I had to use a knife and even with a knife, it's really difficult to cut a piece. I may be mistaken but a few years ago I bought another pu ehr from this brand and it was fantastic and easy to break, that's why I assumed this one will be the same but it wasn't. Won't be buying again unfortunately :(

This product is excellent, I have bought it several times and I would buy it again.

It’s probably my fault I though it will be few smaller cakes rather than a big one - is not that easy to break it unless you skilled with this type of tea other than that I love the flavor. I would give 5 stars if I don’t have to fight with the cake every time when I was the tea.

The fishy smell and bitterness of a bad pu'er. Avoid. Also if you didn't know how to prepare pu'er, beware mine didn't come with any instructions as promised. No fruitiness, just wood and earth. And fish. No return available this is a ripoff.

mi piace molto, per anni ho pensato (e poi dimenticato a lungo) che questo sarebbe un thè che assomiglia allo stato di animo più complesso, quello di essere aperti, che non vuol dire essere soddisfatti di se stessi. nella mia esperienza non è proprio uno stato d'animo frequente, ma auspicabile. Un ideale?: probabilmente potrebbe essere usato prima della meditazione, ma non quella meditazione infestante che si vorrebbe utile o che dai dai (ci) porti qualcosa di utile, ma invece prima di quella meditazione che faremmo se veramente non sapessimo il perché la facciamo . Ecco, questo tipo di sapori e freschezza, mette a confronto con se stessi, a confronto le proprie fissazioni o proiezioni con uno spazio maggiore , e comunque hai voglia a creare spazio quelle restano . attenzione all'acqua , non usare acque dure ma dolci devono assomigliare a quelle di montagna. At USD$27⁶², this is not the cheapest Pu Erh; all the more so, when you consider that 100g is less than a quarter of a pound (see photo). But I keep looking for that powerful Pu Erh aroma, ever since I moved to the US, from Chile, last year. This is still not it. Many tea commentators deride those of us who seek that redolence of garden compost, but that, to me, is the thrill of a “good” Pu Erh. I bought this, prompted by a reviewer who warned us of the “fishy smell and bitterness of a bad pu'er.” That is certainly not what I found. Not bad tea, but mild. Several reviewers complain that the cake is too hard to break up. It is harder than most, agreed, but that has such a simple solution: leave the “nest” overnight in a large cup, with a tiny amount of water! [After that, of course, you have three or four days to consume it before it molds (moulds), unless you dry it again: sunlight, microwave, whatever.]

Avevo già acquistato in passato the pu-erh in bustina ma questo non ha nulla a che vedere. Viene reclamizzato su riviste del benessere per le sue molteplici proprietà benefiche ma resta comunque il fatto che principalmente è un the ricercato e godibilissimo. Il profumo terroso è intenso ma il gusto è molto più delicato del previsto. Ho scritto al venditore per capire come utilizzarlo in quanto il formato toucha compresso per me era nuovo. Le risposte giunte immediate ed estremamente cortesi mi hanno aiutato ad apprezzarlo ancora di più. La mail che mi hanno inviato prima ancora di aver ricevuto la consegna peraltro puntualissima come al solito mi ha oltremodo colpita per i consigli con l’ apprezzatissimo manuale del the. Il costo giustifica a mio avviso l’alta qualità di questo the pregiato. Lo riacquisterò per regalarlo a chi come me ama questa bevanda straordinaria.
